SPECULATION - Freddy Eastwood

by muzza » 26 May 2008 09:42

Coventry City are closing in on a £1.5m deal for transfer-listed Wolves striker Freddy Eastwood.

does anyone think that he could be a good singing for us if one of our front 4 leave??

I think he is a very tallented young striker and would be a great addition to our squad.

Whats your thought?

My thoughts are another pointless "I like so and so, what do you think" thread. Yawn.

Agreed - at least put a "speculation" in the title so that it can be safely ignored along with all the others just like it.

With Eastwood joining, Hunty would have a run for his money in the Pikey of the Year vote.

If the Morrison on a free rumour is true then no.

Rather get a proven CCC striker for nowt than fork out £1.5m for a player who hasn't really shown he can do it at this level.

£1.5m for a Wolves reject who hasn't made it at CC level? Not worth considering for one minute.

Other than the 16 goals he got for Southend at CC level

Strangely, I have been to quite a few Southend games over the past 5 years. So I saw quite a lot of Freddy. He was class at Southend. Should ignore what happened at Wolves (rubbish manager)... Coppell could bring the best out of him and assuming we will lose at least 2 of Lita, Doyle and kitson. Then yes. We should sign Eastwood. Of course the sad truth is that we probably couldn't afford him!

I wouldn't rule him out, but he'd only be second in line to Kitson as that second forward to partner Long (we'll probably lose Lita and Doyle without replacing them!)

As opposed to a Brentford reject who couldn't make it at League 1 level yet went on to be a Premiership football, player of the year and an Irish international.

Its all about the club, not necessary the player!

And I've seen him score lots of goals. Often very good goals as well.
