I don't know what kind of fish there are in particular, but the area is full of lakes! There are at least three within a few miles of Huelgoat, (which has it's own lake) and fishing holidays and licences are featured as part and parcel of the activities in the area. :)

Not that I'm bored or anything, but there's an advert for an apartment in Huelgoat online which says:

Huelgoat stands by the shores of a large lake, surrounded by hilly woodland and is a popular centre for activity holidays, sailing, fishing with Carp and Perch in the lake. Horse riding, cycling and walking all catered for locally. Plenty of free car parking, picnic places, woodland walks and paths along the river Argent.

Sounds lovely actually.

"Not bored" you are right though, it is a very nice place! People have been asking what constitutes "Mates rates for fellow nobbers"

Well the place sleeps 6, in two doubles and one twin.

We are content to let to family and friends to cover our annual costs and it's a bargain at £250-00 per week if you bring your own bedding!

Our keyholder charges us an additional £50-00 to provide a bed linen service, but you must provide your own towels in any event please.

PM for further details or to make a booking (first come first served basis) with a fifty percent deposit, followed by the balance a month before you travel.

Keys and fees can be exchanged in Reading or by post if preferred.

This is a genuine offer for 'responsible nobbers'!!!

Another nobber and his family will be visiting Huelgoat in the summer thanks to this classified section, thanks again for the interest.

I forgot to mention before, but around 100 metres from the house is a cafe-bar-pizzeria called, "Crepiscule" It looks a little frayed around the edges, but the the couple who own it are a rabid, Marseilles supporting Frenchman and his English wife.

Their chef, a Thierry Henry lookalike, makes great pizza from scratch and each one is named after a player that has turned out for Marseilles. So there is a "Waddle" which is a hot and spicy sausage pizza!?

Furthermore the bar is decked out in football regalia from all over the world, (Yes I already made sure that there is a Reading scarf pinned to the ceiling)

Any nobbers passing through or staying in Huelgoat could do the same or similar, if they have a piece of 'Biscuitmen' memorabilia to spare, a little piece of England in a foreign land so to speak!

Anyway thanks for supporting us with your bookings, they are appreciated!

Hi again Dorset!

I wonder if your Marseille friend has done his research and knew that Chris Waddle used to work in a sausage factory in Gateshead as a lad before turning pro??!!

Apologies to anybody looking at the link and not seeing the house!

The immobilier has moved the ad from page 1 and I have not heard from her to say where it may be found now, as of yet anyway!!

A new link with photographs, hopefullly with the exterior in it's recently decorated state will be available soon!!!

Prices remain the same for 'nobbers' and you can pm me for availability if you wish.

:)
