Doode - you can buy a brand new Samsung 40" 1080p LCD for £429 or an LG 42" for £379. Think you need to rethink ya prices

The difference is that it's LCD. I definitely wouldn't pay the difference for an LCD, yet, though.

Matt point taken - but the Philips is a quality build TV and not one of these lightweight (plastic) offerings from Samsung...and the spec will be superior ... i think given its condition etc the price is reasonable
