Reading F.C. programmes

by supermasssarr » 01 Jul 2018 08:39

Hi

I have a big old box full of Reading programmes (mainly home, some away) from the last 20+ years or so. Some are Elm Park also. Tried selling these before but happy for them to be free to a good home. I was on the verge of chucking them but have a lot of amazing memories of going with my grandpa to games and can’t do it! I’d much prefer someone to have them who would appreciate them.

I’m based in north London if anyone wants to collect but also go back to Reading every now and again so could arrange dropping them on the way through.

Cheers

Very noble of you supermasssarr, hope they find an appreciative home. Have to admit mine just went in the recycling before one house move. Couldn't be bothered with it.

Having done so it's gr8 to be free of the shackles of having to buy a programme every single game.

Indeed, Green, indeed. I'll always remember the first time I was at the National Theatre and felt uncompelled to buy a programme (for a fairly mundane production of Timon of Athens directed by Nick Hytner). It was like a weight had been lifted from my soul. Only place I buy a programme these days is at the Royal Court, because they give you a copy of the script as well, all for four quid, which is a smashing deal.

Football programmes, obviously, are for children and lonely men without any hobbies.

I have the full set of home programmes from our first ever premier league season, I`m wondering if can get a worthwhile sum for them.

Ok, do you have any older ones, pre 1960 if possible.

Also looking for any pre-war Reading programmes, cash waiting £5 min for good condition.
