It annoys me a bit when people say our fans are crap. They are not crap.

How do you rate how good the fans are? Any football stadium will have the loud areas and the quiet ones just as Reading does.

Tutti Frutti Exactly. Our first goal againt Boro was hark-less. Just as good, just as much noise, and no-one doing a little dance and looking like a simpleton...

No it was shit, it went quiet after about 10 seconds. We have such bollocks fans the atmosphere is always shite, so when the music plays after we score it's actually nice to hear some noise.

always

That video will always bring goosebumps to my body...that is an incredible noise.

Does the same for me. The point I was making is that this is up to and not including the playing of TH! Agreed?

I do have a few problems joining in with the dance that accompanies the Tom Hark song.

I'd rather just sit and clap.

bobby1413 It's my understanding that the majority of hobnobbers wish that Tom Hark was removed from the goal celebrations.

I can't stand it either but when 95% of the supporters join in and go all spacker when it's played, the FC will hardly listen to the few that don't like it when the majority seem to.

Its not even a year since we first started filling the mad stad on a regular basis, but the atmosphere has improved lots in that time and hopefully will continue to do so as the new fans bed in as it were. The north stand has got alot louder in recent times (y25 always loud) may encorage otheres to join in

You can't actually hear the tannoy playing TH as the crowd are singing along to it...and drowning it out. Must be more than a couple of people joining in and maybe even *shock horror* enjoying it? Our fans are no different to the majority of other teams, we sing when we're doing well, we go quiet when we're not. Get over it.

Atmosphere has improved ten fold over the past few games / Tom Hark works - lets keep it.

Balls.

You could play any song 10 seconds after a goal and the crowd would lap it up.

Tom Hark is utterly pointless. I would absolutely love it if the twats who play would actually come on here and try and justify it.

The Murty goal is hardly a fair sample to suggest that Tom Hark isn't needed. For christ sake that goal was massive and was the icing on the cake of an incredible season and day, we'd have to be the worst fans on earth not to have raised an extra cheer that day.

Reading fans are shit, otherwise there wouldn't have been the need for Tom Hark and rumblestix etc to start with.

I suggest you get out more and listen to some other fans celebrating to realise what proper supporters behave like.

I suggest you start reading what some of the opposition fans and media are saying about our support before you start making statements like that.

People dance to Tom Hark because a lot of the new fans don't know that that isn't the normal way to celebrate - i.e. they are so new they don't realise it looks really PLASTIC!

It wasn't an opinion, you were stating 'a fact' (but sadly one that is not actually factual!); read your own post again. An opinion starts with a lead in to show it is your thought - 'I think that ...' or something similar.
