What a shocking waste of an hour and a half. I wish I'd just read the result and left it at that. By the way, Konchesky! What a fokker. Should have been sent off twice over.

cmonurz Great result, but as earlier in this thread, a poor display.

Attacking throw-in by Nicky Shorey (Reading).Inswinging corner from left by-line taken right-footed by Seol Ki-Hyeon (Reading) to far post, resulting in ball out of play. Goal kick taken long by Roy Carroll (West Ham).

BBC commentary has only one attack 'of note' in the entire second half. Goes without saying that a ten-fold improvement is required for Chelsea.

No improvement needed when it comes to result - I'd take a hard fought 1:0 against Chelsea any time.

Who would you rather have out of Sonko or Woodgate?

Our man is bloody awesome.

That was a Championship standard match IMHO but the defence were once again legendary. Sonko is an absolute rock.

Very disappointing the way the attack was so detached from the rest of the team but I guess in some ways that's a "classic away performance"....

A bit unfair, we also had this:

64:04
Goal kick taken long by Marcus Hahnemann (Reading).

Another 3 ppints iN the bank - I think we'll be very glad for them come the spring.

Away from home I'll take 35% possession and a 1 nil victory any day. Anything we can get on the road is a bonus.

TBH I thought we'd lose today and would have been pleased with a point.

If we play like that at home (against anyone other that the big 4) would be the time to worry.

Stating the obvious.

If we play like that against Chelsea we will come away with a hard-fought 6-0 thumping.

Excellent result today, but undeserved, and lots to work on at the training ground, namely putting together cohesive attacks away from home.

Can't we won! On 13 points, heading into the international break with a win over West Ham and a draw against Manure, the confidence will be extremely high and a chance of getting some points from the Chelsea and Arsenal games! 7th and loving it :!:

A lot of folks round hereabouts were saying it'd be a miracle to take more than a point from ManUtd>WHU away>Chelsea>Arsenal.

Behold.

Far short of the best of performances by all visual accounts, and it's clear there's plenty to be addressed, but in the end it's all about staying alive.

I completely agree. Any points on the road are a bonus.

And Sonko is just remarkable. Every time we need a play, he makes it. He is always there.
