From Despair To Where? Does anyone remember a sports discussion programme on Channel 4 on Saturday mornings hosted by Victoria Derbyshire? Oliver Holt was the fey little Home Counties tossrag with silver spoon up his arse who appeared most weeks and argued that black was white just to get a reaction.

I reckon he was bullied relentlessly as a child, the smug little turd.

It's the munter and the cnunter, what a lovely couple.

A face to launch a thousand fists.

her face is actually a football with 2 felt eyes and a mop for the hair.....its fake for sure

in the original post there is a quote from Oliver Holt..it says

""Cech has two metal plates in his head now as he lies in the John Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford and yet football's neanderthal instinct seems to be to leap to Hunt's defence.""

I have been unable to confirm from any source that Cech has had two metal plates put in his head as a result of his injury
is this a fact or is it like the 30 min wait for an ambulance.

Oliver Holt - an uninspiring so-called journalist who would never let the facts get in the way of a good story: once gone never to be remembered

Reading FC - owned by a self-made millionaire and benefactor never to be forgotten

An easy conclusion and choice

Apropos of nothing very much, Oliver Holt's mother is Eileen Derbyshire, who plays the character Emily Bishop in Coronation Street.

By the way, has anyone seen today's Sun?:

Blueffon: Jose wants £25m Italian keeper to replace KO'd Cech: EXCLUSIVE!

Petr's Barca Joy: EXCLUSIVE! (including editorial which claims that "SunSport has learned that the club maintain Reading officials were told to call an ambulance for Cech within TEN* minutes of his injury....")

(*their capitals, not mine)

Interviews with Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard.

And a whole page devoted to the death of a CFC events manager in a road accident this week; something which probably wouldn't warrant more than a paragraph (if that) in a national paper at any other time).

BBC local news mentioned Cech having 2 plates inseted into his skull yesterday. They also said that the plates are there permanently so I presume that fact is correct.

Oliver Holt, formally chief sportswriter for the Times, owned by Right wing conservative tax dodger. Holt would write for Women's Own if they paid the most.

That would be at the same time as the Chelsea doctor, ?someone English, was telling the SKY pitchside reporter that it was 'just' concussion and that he did not think it was serious as the clock on the TV was showing 11 minutes. Maybe the Chelsea media machine should check on what was said at the time rather than assume they can change facts - it was not until minute 29 that said pitchside reporter said that Cech had deteriorated and was going to hospital, I can't believe that if they had asked for an ambulance and been ignored that they would have been slow in complaining to a SKY guy standing outside the door waiting for any info he could get.

In case you did not realise there was an RFC representative with Cech all the time he was in the dressing room (as is their procedure for such injuries) so the implication (to me at any rate) that Cech and the doctor were just left to their own devises is also inaccurate!
