How silly can I be?

So whose historical record is this after 8 games in the top flight?
P:8 W:4 D:1 L:3 GD:3 POS:7th
Not disimilar to ours after 8 games.

Here's a clue: the previous season they were promoted as champions.
Just like we were

They had a quiet unassuming professional manager.
Ditto

By Christmas they were 4th

On March 31st they went top

On April 28th they were champions, again.

Of course Reading could never do anything like this.

Just like Ipswich couldn't have done it in 1961-62

What a silly thought.
