PREMIERSHIP_ROYAL realisticly are we all hoping arsenal win the league?
i personally would much prefer them to win it instead of chelsea or man u.
for the simple reason that arsenal play like champions not like the pathetic diving squad we saw last week

Nah. Make no mistake about it, Arsenal can be cheating divers just as much as Chelsea when needed. Unlike Chelsea though they didn't need it yesterday and were able to rely on their pure class to get past us. Plus I hate Lehmann far more than I do Ronaldo, I don't want to see that scumbag anywhere near the Premiership trophy again.

Fantastic football from Arsenal.

The title could well be theirs if they can win ugly.

As for Arsenal, thats the best display of attacking, team football I ever have seen against a Reading side. Its a shame more fans didn't stay until the end to clap both teams off the field and acknowledge Arsenal's peformance.

You are joking.

No it's not a shame.

Yes Arsenal were very very good and they stuffed us. In answer to RR's question, no it gave me no pleasure to see that Arsenal display.

And you think of yourself as a football fan?

I was throughly entertained by the whole Match
I am I the ONLY person who thought we played the best we had played all season?
i thought first half against Sutd we played well but generally we have been over caucious and negative and grinding out results..
Yesterday i thought our passing & movement were quality but it just wasn't good enough against a team that were playing a world class performance.
I suppose the early goal mean't we were chasing and left some big gaps..
BUT if we play that well against teams that can't finish so well and make more passes go astray then we will do very well.
And to add what's been said earlier i'd like to see doyle and seol up front and little where he belongs.
I'd also like to add that arsenal were my tip for champions this year..i got worried at the start of the season , but now , obviously , i know why i made that descision. BUT if you get your tactics right and stop them passing , they have no other way to play. It's just like , how do you stop attacks like what we saw yesterday , no defender is quick enough to stop that !

Catagorically YES

It doesn't matter who the opposition is if you punt the ball straight out of play from the keeper or boot a dangerous freekick straight out for a goal kick or put corners straight into the keepers arms.

Arsenal were outstanding but Reading didn't do themselves justice yesterday. Other than Wigan, our worst display so far.

The contrast between the football played by Arsenal and that played by Man Utd and Chelsea is illustrated by Sonko's performances. He hardly got a defensive header in against Arsenal because they never put it in the air.

An awesome display from the Gooners.

I had a feeling we were gonna get a pasting in this one, wish I'd put some money on it!

These top 4 games are not the important ones, whatever we get from them is a bonus. I see them as mid-season friendlies.

Our bread & butter is the Charltons, Fulhams, Wet Shams etc.
These are the games when we need the lads on top form, full houses and constant noise.

Keep the faith.

I also thought Hahnemann's kicking was pants yesterday.

Wasted against Long and Doyle.

Either kicked straight into touch or overhit.

Bit an off day for him in that respect.

Agreed ... a chance for Stack to get a game perhaps?

I hope that's a joke, I really do. I'd agree that Hahnemann's kicking was a bit wayward yesterday, but that's no reason to drop him!

I think that goes without saying really.

The next game is a League Cup game after all.

should have gone 4-5-1 IMO with gunnarson as holding player, blakey on the wing, and seol just behind the front one of doyle

but who knows that may have invited them on even more

missed murts, DLC wasnt really at the races today

but have to doff my cap to the way arsenal took us apart

even had to applaud their first goal, made it look all too easy

oh well, at least it was late october before a team tore us to ribbons
hope weve not been found out!

Still comfortable top half having just played the best 3 teams in the country. That's more than okay with me.

(The fact we have played them all at home, not away is pretty irrelevant, as we wouldn't really expect to get a point from all 6 games would we?)

Still buzzing from the match.

Terry Henry was amazing. He seemed to run effortlessly with the ball. It was like a ballet dancer (with a ball).

His movement and pace will certainly be something Doyle and Long (as well as the defence) will look and learn from.

Perhaps having this pasting early on is a good cathartic thing.

One other thing was the lack of cards which showed the spirit in which the game was played.

In case Lux is concerned, I have no second team.

I'm not buzzing at all, I'm a bit shell-shocked and amazed at the same time.

Thank God there are a good few teams that we can compete against playing football in this league.

yes I do. A very partisan one, I admit.

I have no doubt about how brilliant Arsenal were yesterday, but I did not enjoy seeing them pissing on us. At all.

If I supported Arsenal as well as Reading then I would have been far happier.
