spickroyal I read your rants about this every week Sharpy but I have never been told to sit down....are you sure it's not because you are slinging abuse in the direction of the away fans as opposed to supporting the team? I know what you're like!!!!

no mate, ask those who sit around me and in y25...its a fkin joke!!

im not exaggerating either...doing the old aeroplane thing with your arms when they shot over...cos you were looking in their direction, whammo a camera was straight on you!!

Fair enough, just asking. Where in Y25 do you sit?

I get the feeling I am so far back that they can't be ar$ed to trudge all the way up there!!

right at the top. did you not see them always walking up and down and walking along rows?!!

or even them congregating near the concourse exits when someone stood up to get a phone out of their pockets?!!

I agree with Sharpy on this one, the stewards in Y24,25,26 are a joke. If you stand for just a second the police in the corner try and get a picture of you straight away, even if your just letting someone past. And when you join in with songs such as "stand up for Steve Coppell" the stewards try and get all of you to sit down straight away. Today a steward stood right in front of me telling people to sit down, so me and the guy next to me have to stand up otherwise we can't see and he warns us both.

Try a sit-down protest

doesn't take a lot of working out...

You want to stand up

The club admire your noise

Sit still for a few 90 minutes

Ignore goals

Read newspapers before the game and half time

Ignore the antics on the pitch

Then go cap-in-hand and ask for leniancy and a bit of common sense

They might just cut you some slack in future????????????

Meanwhile, in looney-steward land, it's perfectly alright to tell a double-decker bus full of Arsenal fans to MOUNT THE PAVEMENT on the hill behind the away end in order to go round an ambulance in the middle of the road. A absolutely fukking stupid thing to do and whoever advised it should be sacked - no question.

I'm surprised they could even tell when Sharpy has stood up.

Give them a few more weeks and they'll either kill off the home support or cause a riot. For oxf*rd sake keep things in perspective!

Well, you'd have to get 20'000 people to do that.

Plus, the fact that each 90 minutes of sitting down ignoring goals, another £35 comes rolling out of my bank account.

Mind you, it's the same problem as always. We can moan all we want, but if the club don't realise how strongly we feel about this then we have nothing. Some of the board members/higher ups may not even realise how stupid and absurd the stewards are being.

But we should make it clear that they are not telling us to sit down for safety, but every 2 minutes, they are telling you to not take a picture, to sit down, not swear, get back to your seat, etc....

Sharpy - spot on.
I can't believe how poor the atmosphere was in Y25/6. We had a steward sat on the steps at the end of row EE so that in the end no-one would sing let alone stand up. Everyone was just fed up.
The approch of filming anyone that moved was the pathetic really. I take it this is the 'evidence' STAR were making reference to for those banning orders?

AthleticoSpizz I wasn't asking you about inside the ground and hold the hysterics please (I have a 16 year old daughter to deal with)

An honest question....was there any trouble at the bottom of the hill today?

saw an old boy (60's..) holding his nose together. bit of claret and right pi##ed off.

I saw that to. OB wiping up the cut on his nose. Also OB trying to stop everyone walking down the hill just to let a bus out. Quite funny seeing this old geezer (rightly so) argue with the OB about the rights and wrongs of letting the bus go before the people.

Any more standing you lot, and this is where you'll end up!

I think the cell in the back ground, and bog roll, is clue enough to your impending punishment.

NOW BEHAVE!!!

There was nearly a spot of bother when a man in his forties wearing a baseball cap said "oi gooner get in your own end". Luckily I was able to make my escape with minimal violence.

Standing up = Atmosphere.
Jobsworth stewards = people fed up.
People fed up + sitting down = no atmosphere.

You avoided the temptation to kick his head in then?

I'm sure his missus would have put the insurance proceeds to good use at the concourse bars.
