Not anymore their not.

Watford are at chelsea expected loss, Sheff utd now 2-2 and charlton playing well though losing 2-1, i suggest you keep quiet till May because we are only 4 points off it and no where near home and dry

Imho a bit of complacency amongst Reading fans. We can afford to crow a bit if we beat Charlton at Madejski next week, but a Charlton win in that fixture would create a different picture entirely.

Unless we sign another three or four players, WE will be in the relegations spots in May.

Blackburn, Newcastle, Bolton, Everton and Spurs still to come before 'half-time', and up to today Watford had a reasonable defensive record, and that Sheff Utd are now within a win of over-taking us, and things aren't all that rosy.

And if we do sign another 3 or 4 players and still get relegated WE will be in a worse position than going down with the current squad.

Lets just see where we sit bby Xmas day, having played everybody once by then we will know what we have and what we need to do to stay up.

Again like the target man thread, fair enough, but I think the cracks in thje squad have been already been on show more than they should need to be in recent weeks with the injuries to certain players and it's inevitable that a Sidwell or a Sonko or a Shorey or a Doyle will pick up an injury during the remainder of the season.

I'm sure they will but i'm more worried that Shorey or Doyle will leave the club if a big club with money comes along. they've done well so far this season.

Today we expected to be outclassed and were.

Will miss Marlon King really badly and haven't got much else in the squad.

Got you and Sheff U at home soon which we must win if we want to stay up (no offence!)

Good luck tomorrow...reckon you'll nick a point.

You will survive without Marlon King. Watched your game today against Chelsea and your defending at time was woeful but you were at Chelsea. From what i have seen of you this year i think you will be fine. Seem to be able to grind out wins and draws, may not be pretty to watch but Boothroyd is a class manager especially with the players you have (no offence)

I still think we're desperately lacking in depth if we pick up any more injuries and don't change that opinion, although our squad players, in particular Hunt, were much better today and I was pleasantly surprised.

But your statement therefore assumes injuries to our key players - how can you say that we WILL go down when you dont know what will happen. If we dont sign anyone of note but dont get anymore serious injuries will we stay up?

I'm looking forward to digging this out again soon........

Watford will go down. Simply not enough goals in them. They may work hard, but you need more than that to survive in the Premiership.

If we get injuries to the likes of Doyle, Sonko, Sidwell or one of our full backs for sustained periods of time like most clubs will have and don't sign better players to replace them, we will struggle and could go down. Yesterday we had Murty back and the difference he made was huge and had he not been playing, we'd have lost and Spurs would have had a comfortable afternoon.
