Berthwaite Let's get real, guys.

Doyle is a great player and seems a genuinely nice guy as well.

He has some loyalty to RFC, but if a "Big" club (which we are not) came up with a sensible offer for him (say £5m) and offered him a huge pay rise over what he gets here (say £25,000 per week) who could expect him to stay?

I personally would be sad to see him go, but would wish him luck.

I agree. Shaka Hislop and Adie Williams loved the club, but moved on with out best wishes to bigger clubs.

As I said in the summer, Doyle will be off in January for around 5 million.

6 million is realistic - Pennant went to Liverpool for 7 million - thats the sort of inflated market that currently operates.....

...And Pennant isn't as good as Doyle, so bollocks to your realism.

Seeing as we gave him a chance of earning a decent living playing football in England, I would like to think he would show his loyalty and stay with us.

Nick Shorey my Lord!
SpaceCruiser Since we don't want to sell him at that stage of the season, we can ask for any absurd amount to put them off. Say £10 million or more.

Wakey wakey.

Not proven at this level. Bought for just £78k. Anything over £2m would be seriously considered.

Not proven at this level?!!! 5 goals so far this season, a full international who has performed well at that level and someone, who according to Redknapp, gave Ledley King a really difficult time yesterday?

If he's not yet proven then we should damn well hang on to him until he meets with your approval - 'anything over £2m' is laughable - Warnock pays that to rescue donkeys!

Doyle is a quality player who is getting better and better.

By January he'll have close to 10 goals and they'll be a whole host of clubs after him.

Indeed you are correct. However, I do not feel we will sell unless we get a stupid offer from one of them with a large amount of any fee up front.

I personally feel it will be the summer when he moves on for around £6/7m.

didn't notice all the tops clubs bidding for Darren Bent in the summer, wasn't he top scoring Englishman in the Premiership. First season is often the easiest, both for club and individual players when you are something of an unknown quantity with everything to prove.

Keane on Doyle

'As Ledley King can testify, with Keane explaining: "After the game on Sunday, Ledley - for me one of the best defenders in England - said Kevin was one of the toughest players he has played against this season. '

He is priceless in my view

I could easily see us selling him on for £6million in the summer and then being sold on again by his next club for more than double that. Whatever you say about Doyle I'm convinced we've not yet seen him at his best.

He will go nowhere in Jan or the summer. I can see him signing a new deal at the same time as Sidders. Prob 20/12/06.

An early Xmas pressie for us all.

Doyle scores loads without much service, if he had a creative midfield he'll score alot more IMO.
