Who's got a bet on Doyle for top scorer?

by comeonthebiscuitmen » 04 Dec 2006 11:09

I had a look at the odds for Doyle, Kitson and Lita at the start of the season.
You could get 150, 200-1 with some bookies.

worth an each way, anyone keeping their slips safe?

Got a fiver @80/1 and another @40/1. Bet 365 have him down to 20`s now. Got the royals to win the prem too at some ridiculous odds although im starting to accept that the likelyhood of Manure and the Russian money laundering outfit will deny me that one!

A few years back I thought seriously about putting a bet on Nicky Shorey playing for England. Unfortunately I was too wooosie to go into a bookies to put it on

Although it's still a long-shot, I'm kicking myself now, as I'm sure the odds are nothing like as good as they would have been back then...

I was sorely tempted to put £10 on us winning the Prem at 2500-1 but bottled it.

stuck to just avoiding relegation. looking good so far.

Before the season started, I had a few bets with Bet365.

Doyle to be top goalscorer with a handicap of 18 goals was 15/1; had a £10 on that.

Reading to be Champions with a 48 point handicap was 25/1; had a £10 on that.

So, if Super Kev fails to score again, the top scorer would need to score 27 league goals or more for me to not win £150.00.......

The £25 at 4/7 for us to stay up will be a mere bagatelle after that lot; though the £1 at 1500/1 to win the thing is looking a lil bit tastier than I thought it would!

I would genuinely laugh myself stupid if that happened!!!

I put £5 e/w on Kev at 200/1.

I did the same, at shorter odds, on Kitson and Lita because I believed we were going to surprise a few.

I also have £10 at 20/1 on Reading being handicap champions with a 51 point start.

On the other hand, I didn't bet on us being Champions last season.

and £10 on Reading +51pts at 10s on the handicap league betting (were now 2/1 fav's)
Also backed Doyle £5 on handicap betting +16goals at 25/1 paddy power

Looks like some tasty bets there.
Didn't think about handycap betting at all i must say.

I never bet on us, not even on a coupon.
I'm just happy if we win and don't care who scores.
If I had money on one player to score rather than another it would spoil it.

Not at all mate. All it does is make you celebrate even more when the player you have backed scores first.

Try it and then give your opinion.

Not at all mate. I usually stick a couple of quid on Sonko for last goal. Rarely comes in but every corner or free kick we get in the last twenty minutes is twice as exciting!

The best odds I could find last night were on Betdaq - at 32 to 1

Everyone else seems to be much lower than that now.

The betting exchanges always seem to offer better odds than the normal bookies - does anyone know of any others to try other than Betdaq or Betfair?

I managed to get 25-1 for top scorer with a 16 goal handicap, but then Kanu has only got a 14 goal handicap, so I could do withough him getting too many.

and I got on us to win the league with a handicap of 48 at 15-1, just keeping everything crossed now so I can afford that trip to the nou camp.

When / Where did you manage to get that - surely not in the last few days?
