On that note, does anyone have a copy of the Football First coverage of the Liverpool game? My Sky+ didn't record it so I have an incomplete collection

2 Disc Set? Pah! This is what a 'Season So Far' collection should look like!

Cool. I can do that for you. I'm going home now and won't be online till Monday, but I'll PM you then to arrange something. You'll need to buy the DVD sleeves. I'll get the link for you. They aren't the normal Amaray size that you get in the shops. The spine is slightly thinner and the height isn't as tall.

Would be well worth forking out for, cheers.

No, because that would be illegal (see above).

RoyalBlue One again Hobnobbers show up the professional merchandising people at RFC!

To be fair to RFC, I design DVD sleeves as a full time job for Universal and DreamWorks, whereas the bods who do their covers probably only do Southamptons yearly review.
Funny thing is, I expect you would do it for less money than them if you were asked.

Would it be legal to just flog the covers?

No because the pictures are subject to copyright too.

If only someone at RFC would have the intelligence to realise 'If you can't beat them, join them!'.

There are fantastic commercial opportunities here, if only they would swallow their pride and team up with some of the more creative HobNobbers.

Last seasons DVD has sold out and the club or Meridian aren't making any more - even though there have have hundreds of requests for it. Lost money making opp if you ask me.

What about talking to the club about it, if the profits go to charity they maybe willing to get help out on the copyright issues?

What if all the RFC pics were replaced with uncopyrighted non RFC related pics and the DVD content was changed to show non copyrighted RFC related highlights.

Obviously the title would need to change as well, but I'm sure it'll sell

2005-2006 season, Champions by a mile, 46 games plus Carling and FA Cup games on 2 disc DVD, £20. 2006-2007 in the Premiership, loads of Sky money coming in plus more if we stay up. Less than half a season for a 2 disc DVD £20. What happens if it all goes pearshaped and we were relegated? Watch us being relegated for another £20? Wait until the end of the season. Another example of rip-off Reading

Don't buy it then if you think it's a rip off. The club don't have an option of recording over it with the end of season video and recycling it like they did with the Season's Greetings video in 94, so if it's shit and it doesn't sell, they lose money. Might make them think more carefully about what they produce in future
