How bad are Murty, Hunt & Doyle injuries?

by Upper West?!? » 06 Dec 2006 22:41

I couldn't listen to the match, but have just read the match report on the official site. Was there any discussion during the broadcast on the severity of the injuries to Murty, Doyle and Hunt?

Murty seems to have come off the worst.

Doyle didn't look in too much distress when he was being subbed? He's a quick healer!

Thanks.

The team suffered when Murty was out before. What happened to Hunt?

Took an early knock, playing with two cracked ribs etc etc

Blakey on the bench, no need to struggle.

Doyle should be fine for Saturday, Murty is 50/50 and Hunt probably won't make it through the night.

I walk Jon Fearn's dog every other Tuesday so I know this for a FACT.

Steve Coppell says his toe is black and blue. Could be broken toe, or just bruised. Either way it's likely to be a minimum of a few days before he can use it again.

Coppell on the OS:

"Hunty felt his hamstring in the warm up and he was always struggling," Coppell reported.

"Doyler just had three or four knocks and with Leroy on the bench I just thought we could do with some fresh legs.

"Murty's toe is black and blue at the moment. For the last five, I was probably going to bring Bikey on anyway - just for his physical presence up front."

Can it say "sausages"? If so you will be guaranteed many hours of prime time television.

If you have a counting horse to you can give the whole dog and pony show

I think Doyle has been playing "with a few knocks" for the last few weeks anyway, so hopefully he'll be fine.

When I was at school my best mate's sister's dog ate Glenn Hoddle's daughter's rabbit.

Judging by the offical site its Kitson (who has now had his appendix removed and is out for a further 6 weeks) who we have to worry about the most.......

Murty was today spotted by someone I work with at a petrol station on crutches unable to put any weight on the injured foot. Doesn't sound like he will be fit by the weekend.
