There's a lot of fickle fans on here.

But that's football I guess.

Not as fickle as the West Ham team that failed to turn up as well.

Conversely, my son had a ticket in R31 but was given the opportunity at short notice to go to a pantomime with some college friends in Potters Bar. He couldn't sell his ticket so decided to go to the game rather than waste his money.
I think he was quite pleased and I'm not sure he missed the pantomime after all ("it's behind you Anton...")

That was the best hangover cure ever. Struggled to make it to the game but was very glad I did.

I don't remember seeing the woman who usually sits behind me (and in front of a few nobbers - AndyRFC, Compo et al) yesterday - that woman that has no clue whatsoever about football.

Her equally thick mate Mr Knock-it was in attendance though

I thought 40's would be closer! The one with those stupid furry boots who spends half her time slating the players and the other half hissing "Yessssss". Maybe she's Sir Dodger Royal's wife?

On second thought, probably not. Maybe it's SDR after a sex change?

I missed it too. For some reason I thought it was a 7.45pm kick-off, and as I live in SE London that means leaving at 5pm. So at 2.45pm I turned on SSN to watch the afternoon's footy to see with horror that Reading were about to kick off in fifteen minutes! And then I listened to 5 Live Extra, in increasing disbelief at the score and increasing frustration that I wasn't there to witness it! Flippin typical!!!

Cheers, David

Silver Fox
Huntley & Palmer For I was one who could not be arsed to go to the match yesterday.

Now that you've had your "break from football" are you going to go to the Burnley game?

That's a big negative. I point blank refuse to pay to watch our reserves after last season.

the lesson is never to miss a game again if you can't be arsed because if you do the team will give someone a spanking.
