If he wasn't for those types of little injuries players pick up at this stage of the season that caused the safety first replacement of Sonko I think we would have seen Shane Long bag himself a goal in the closing 10-15 minutes.

Would have been the perfect game for him to get himself on the premiership radar.

I was fully expecting Long to come on and score a goal too.

He did a satifactory job against a shit side who were dying a slow death. Can't say much really about his performance.

It was the start of something big. Goalscorer Brynjar Gunnarsson salutes the fans after bagging the first against West Ham United

Next tues (9th Jan)sees our second string hosted by West ham.Since our last 3 games in the reserve league have been 5-0 Portmouth,6-0 Arse, and 4-2 at Charlton I hope WHU united Reserves are pooing their lil gold embossed panties.
Given our fringe boys will have had a good run out V Burnley perhaps Sir Steve will put out his first teamers for a bit of a minor workout.Curbs may punish his Baby Bentley brigade by sticking them in the reserves thus gauranteeing another silly scoreline.
