strap Interesting line up possibility given the recent exertions,

Federici

de la Cruz (assuming Halls injured?),
Bikey,
Sodje, (assuming ban was WHU?),
Golbourne, (assuming he's back from Wycombe? Last played 18th Nov but OS suggests he still there.)

Seol,
Oster,
Hayes, (or Harper who seems to have limitless reserves of stamina)
Hunt

Long,
Joseph-Dubois, (or Lita if Sir SC wants to keep his confidence going)

Subs:
Hahnemann
Ingimarsson
Kitson
Convey
Harper (or Hayes, see above)

If Golbourne is still at Wycombe, then Hunt will have to go to Left back, but who on left midfield?

The old barrel is looking pretty empty!!!! I think that team might struggle but at least they'd get a bit of expereicne I suppose.

Gunnarson has n´t played much recently so would play him at right back and Lita ,to keep his run going instead of Joseph-Dubois- otherwise good team for this game.

Great to see Kits and Bobby if they come on and play for 20 mins or so..

Burnley will be up for this game having not played on Monday.

Depends on what sort of defence we put out - probably Shorey, Ingamarsson, Bikey and Sodje which looks vulnerable but some of these players are in desperate need of playing time.

I fear a draw, 1 - 1, and a dreaded replay 'up north'.

There were 2 good things about Burnley away last season:
1.The Hereford fans that turned up cos their game was cancelled, they were a great laugh to have sittin in the away end.
2. This is probably the only reason i might go back for a mid week game, the fit blonde bird that served me a drink in the stand, she was stunning!

But we should beat them, altho the addition of panikbiyi does worry me slightly as i seem to remember him scoring for them against us at the mad stad last year! gave him to much space with his back to goal and he turned and buried it past hahnemann. Would be gd to see bobby and kits back if they're fit enough make the bench!

I'm goin for 2-1( long,hunty & panikbiyi )

Way too many variables to make a serious prediction at this stage. If I am to place any shekels I will most definately await team announcements first.
Having said that I am fairly sure Sir Steve will rest the majority of his regulars after the battles his troops have come through over the festive period.
The backup boys however will be very keen to exploit the opportunity to stake their personal claims to a starting shirt and I am confident we could win a pretty close affair. At this stage if pushed i`d go for a 2-1 Royals march to round 4.

Farnborough Royal I think we should take the cup seriously this season. Last season I didn't mind so much because I would much rather have won the league but this season we are well on our way to staying up and I cant see us getting Europe so the FA Cup is the only thing we have left to play for.

Totally agree.
We are about 3 wins from safety, have no chance of a Champions League spot and little chance of a EUFA cup place.
So why don't we have a real crack at the FA Cup?

I don't go with this resting/tiredness business and feel that it is often a state of mind.
Last Saturday we played one of the top 2 sides (having played the other 4 days earlier ) and for the last 30 minutes with just 10 men.
After travelling back from Manchester we then played less than 48 hours later and tonked West Ham 6-0 with all of our players (apart from Little who never does  ) looking as fresh as daises and playing the full 90 minutes at a fantastic tempo.
So why can't they play again 5 days later at home with no travelling during this week?
Apart from the injured ones ?Murty,Sonko and Gunnarsson why not play our best side?

So far this season our back-up players have not only played in the Carling cup but have played games or parts of games so I would suggest there is not a lot to learn about Bikey,Gunnarsson,Long,Hunt and Sodje as we have a good idea about the capabilities of these fringe players.
Look at West Ham and Wigan last season, the two promoted clubs reached the two cup-finals so why don't we go for it as there would only be another maximum extra 5 games and what kudos let alone the money to potentially be made?

Platypuss
Mrs Butler Glen Little told BBC bershire last night he didnt want to play this game, as he is shattered and would like a break

A Lazarus-like recovery today!

"Thankfully I was able to come off and rest up and fingers crossed I can play Saturday."

I expect Blakey will be on the bench with Oster starting.
