Reading fans in bad behaviour shocker

by Seal » 10 Jan 2007 10:07

My Arsenal mate just sent this to me. According to this table we have the worst behaved 'public' this season!!!!

No idea how it is worked out, but here's the link. The relevant table is at the bottom of the page.

How do they work out the points for crowd behaviour?

Oh and Arsenal at 5th for fair play? Is that a bloody joke?

Compared to other team's fans we don't stand up alot. We've stood at about 3 or 4 of the away games so far, othet teams stand everywhere.

Quite possibly the fact that some of our "fans" seem to get their kicks at the matches fromconstantly booing the opposing teams rather than supporting our own could be a factor here.

The most embarrassing thing about the Madejski currently

RANT MODE ON - What a load of rubbish! How on earth is it calculated, why on earth are they bothering to produce these stats. Behaviour of the public indeed. - RANT MODE OFF

I was thinking it might have something to do with that. Personally, I intend to use it as a way to wind up my mates who have never been to the Madjeski. I will use phrases such as 'cauldron of noise', 'intimidating place to visit' and 'nutcase fans'.

You must go to different away games than me, then. We stood at Upton Park and about half did at Fulham.

And that's it.

There wouldn't be any. Its a totally subjective opinion of the matter.

The fair play league, iirc, is still subjective but the scores are done by formula. But, for the UEFA cup fair play entry, that's what counts.

I reckon it must have been scored by the sodding match officials!

The claim that its to do with booing just doesn't stack up with the compliments that our support have received from opposing managers (even Moronho!) players, TV commentators and pundits, and media in general.
