SC said in his post match interview that DLC was due to play right back today. Presumably Murts would have started on the bench then.

jetsetwilly Post match Coppell stated that De La Cruz was due to start at right back. So did Murts move up from the bench after Shorey's late withdrawl ? In which case was their another late addition to the bench in addition to Seol ?

I dunno, i thought our bench looked extremely small. Perhaps because of Kitson having to withdraw.

If Murts moved up to the team from the bench, then one of Convey, Bikey, Federici or Oster must have been a late draft to replace him.

I thought he had a great game today and a contender for MOTM. Great goal and looks comfortable breaking up the Sheffied attack and starting a counter.

We was a bit wayward with his passing on occassions but overall a worthy replacement for Shorey when you consider he was not playing his natural position.

Shame we didn't have a song for DLC - the goal deserved one.

When Tom Hark started I thought that 'De La Cruz' fitted in quite nicely. maybe we can hijack it

Absolutely class finish - many strikers/midfielders wouldn't have kept their heads and would have failed to convert that chance.

Also, what was all that crap about no pace. Fantastic pacey run forward, (left everyone for dead) to support Bobby as he broke forward and that in the last minutes of the game.

i saw that run he made to support bobby and i thought
"blimey, he's shifting"

i was another one who thought he was supposed to have little to no pace

also remember another occasion when he broke up one of their attacks in midfield after running from about 30 yards away

with all the stuff on here about him not being good enough cover and barely being a championship standard player, combined with the quality of that performance means i'd make him my MOTM.

Solid game, especially given that he's a right back

Cracking goal - pushed on from when he lost the ball at the halfway line and a good finish.

Close but it was Seol who was summoned from the stands.
