Huntley & Palmer
The main problem is that out of all of them, only Bikey and Sodje have played in the Prem this season when required due to injuries.

Huntley & Palmer Pearce has made a sub appearance for 20 minutes against Burnley. You can't just throw him into a starting line up in the Prem, especially when you have more experienced players available.

I agree that hes not ready - but when do you give youngsters Premiership experience? How do they acquire it? At some stage you have to take a risk.

Ho do you know when he is ready? I am sure it is usually down to a gut feeling the manager has, and, in times of pressure that gut feeling will have to be very strong to make what is a bold move.
I still think, taking everything into account, i'd rather see new blood given a chance and fail, than watch someone that cost us money fail. Take pearce for example, lets say he starts saturday, puts in a blinder, and we advance to the next round. I predict threads exhalting SC and all he does, proclaiming Pearce as the new Terry and further threads on our cup ambitions and comparisons with the current Arsenal crop. Should he fail, then at least we know that, and we, and he, can get on with thing in the aftermath. There is a hell of a lot more to gain from trying things differently.
IMO
