ArchLooks like I'll have to add TV Ants to my collection of pirate software.
Be careful. I am convinced that I got a virus when I installed TVAnts

There's a rather cryptic remark along those lines on myp2p. I think the guys who run it are Dutch, and as good their English is, it gets mysterious when they move in to the realm of technology.Stretton Royal Got it working but it's very stop start. I read somewhere that the more people that use it, the better it will get, although I would have thought the opposite true.

robtherich8 I too got a computer virus the first time I used TVAnts but gave it another go yesterday and I think you're OK as long as you deny incoming streams in your firewall (I use Kerio which is free).

How did you get rid of it? I think I still have it!

I think I used AVG antivirus software which is what spotted the virus in the first place:
http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5
But then to be sure - as I am paranoid and I didn't want to lose some valuable data on my hard drive - I wiped the system partition with fdisk and restored an earlier Ghost image I had of the system. I don't know your technical level but if that's all gibberish to you, you could back up any important data to CD/DVD and then reinstall Windows if you want to be sure. Hope that helps.

This is a good program for Antivirus,.
You may also have picked up Malware which AVG wont pick up .
2 x programs which help clean this Malware are Spybot and Adaware - bot which can be downloaded for free via links in this site fo example.
