and giving a conservative estimate of current values
(excluding players anywhere near over 30-one year contracts, will be let go on a free)
and sidwell(out of contract-presumed let go on a free)

and it gives us a massive profit of at least 15 million quid
if we got what doyle was actually worth(8-10 m?) and sidwell signs in the summer (worth 5-6 m?) we can stick another 10 million on the end of that figure.

i reckon by the end of the season, if he keeps playing well we may get 1 for him-with the season of premiere league experience and the higher profile it brings

but ok, even if i grudgingly put 500,000 for him its still nearly 19.5 million quid profit(excluding wages)

Harper is worth more than £1m aswell I reckon. If Convey started performling like he did last season would be worth a fair amount. Quality wingers don't come cheap.

i think a few are worth more than i have put, but was being conservative
id go 2 for harps, but he doesnt get much coverage due to sids,
and i agree the jury is out on convoy at this level

You want people to specify who/what they're talking about? Demanding and unreasonable pedant.

and to realise this you have to sell your entire squad leaving you with no players, no team and no club.

Therefore there is no profit.

I've said it before, the squad is only worth what they are finally sold for and the revenue they directly bring to the club, estimated values of players are meaningless and of no use (except for insurance purposes).

I agree with most except... my thoughts - probably wrong:

DLC, gotta be worth more than nothing.

Murts currently (of we wer eto sell him) would fetch 500-750k surely

Shorey - 3 or 4 million

Sidders - if were to be purchased NOW - the 2mill release claause easily although probably worth 3.5 - 5million

Bryn and Blakey - again if they're to be sold NOW would be worth around 500k surely.

hunt - much as I'm a fan - probably around 500 - 750k

Harps - underrated hero - around 3.5 mill

Ivar: 500-750 now

Convey - on current form around 7500000 id say. pity because if he finds him form will be worth a few million. but on current is undervalued really

I just think that players like Doyle Sonko and Shorey are incredibly valuable at the moment: a striker who runs his arse off and scores goals; a decet premiership centre-half; and a quidk defender whose free-kicks are a dream. Think of the money that went on Ashley Cole, Boumsong and Lescott.
£12 million, £10 million and £8 million, respectively.

Excuse me? Dave Nugent's somehow worth double that and he isn't as proven at that level as Kitson was. Then look at Rowan Vine and McSheffrey. Have I still got it wrong? I don't think so.

Theres no way Sonko is worth £8m, anyone who believes that is seriously deluded. He's a good centre back but he has been caught napping numerous times this season and he has the positional sense of a broken compass.
