It would be ours, we'd be in the history books, and we'd have a fantastic shiny pot to put in the cabinet.

And we'd have won at the new Wembley...

We're surely not going to start again about the risk of rele ...can't even say it in public. How many times does one say (royal lingo) 'we are in the prem to stay' Just stick with a target of 10th (top half) ad you won't be disappointed.

And if anyone thinks otherwise, I suggest you watch MOTD over and over each week until you realise what life is like for teams underneath Reading in the league. But I wouldn't say no to the FA Cup !! URZZZZZ

Wouldn't mind a semi-final or final. Doesn't matter if we win.

A good league position wouldn't go a miss.

It was more Coppell's thinking/team selections that got me thinking about this. Is he saying that we've got no chance of winning it with our squad or that the Prem is more important? I guess the decision rests on the money, which is fair enough - but look at teams like Charlton, they've survived and survived and survived.......what have they got to show for it? We're unlikely to win the Prem any time soon, it's far more likely that we could win the cup - and that can't be taken away from us.

I'm waiting with baited breath for 1.30 tomorrow, I just hope we really push to do our very best in this comp because surely we'e safe now -

I don't think we've got any hope of winning the league any time in the next 20 years, but if we put some efforts into the cups we could come away with a cup.
Looking back, what would you value more?
A solid run in the top flight, with nothing to show for it, or a yo yo period where we grabbed a cup or two?

I could handle a bit of yo-yo'ing if we won some silverware, definitely. There's your 'history' right there, winning things. Just thinking about beating Spurs in the cup final at the new wembley gives me the shakes. What a day out that would be, just imagine it!!

Thats what I'm thinking about...
We're never going to win the league, but the cup is a target that we should be aspiring to.

Sadly, the Premiership is all about the money, and I doubt the club wouldn't risk getting relegated for the sake of a silly tin pot called the FA Cup...

This year, no contest. Stay in this division. The financial rewards are so great next season with the new TV deals coming in that we can really take a step on next year.

Drop down a division and it becomes so much harder.

Having said that we're all but safe (two wins from 14 needed) and will be by the time the 5th Round comes along so both are a very possible option for this year.

At some point in the future then, you're going to find yourself bitterly let down.

We haven't joined a relegation-free Never Never Land, and we're punching above our weight. Fantastic times, but it won't last forever, so let's try and leave some sort of permanent-ish mark while we're awesome.

When MOI goes up, to lift the FA Cup, you'll be there, you'll be there....

If being an idiot is actually wanting the team to win something rather than eternal limbo, then I'm guilty as charged. Just because there's so much money in the game doesn't mean you [the fan] have to think that way.

But we have won a cup!

And at Wembley too!

It's ours! It's HISTORY!!!

But right now it doesn't count for much does it?

This time last year everyone was saying 17th place would be like winning the championship and I'm happy enough with that.

This year... Survival first and foremost
