Royalee Have you seen how bad some of Wigan's attendances have been this season? The difference between the two clubs is we actually have decent support - I hope Wigan go down and back to League 2 where they belong.

There's no need for that. They aren't well supported, we know that. But they do have it hard being from Rugby League land, plus all the other top premiership clubs that are close by. Fair play to the supporters that do turn up, and especially to anyone who makes the trip south tonight.
I still hope we stuff em though.

The town doesn't deserve a Premiership team and they're being bankrolled entirely by Whelan. If the people can't appreciate good football when they see it then they don't deserve a top flight club.

alad Not often I agree with Royalee but I share his views.
Tickets for Wigans remaining 7 home games are now just £15. I bet they still can't shift them.
Reading have more top class clubs around, 30 mins to London and theres 6 Premiership clubs. The rugby excuse is pathetic as Hull also have a big rugby history and Hull City FC are well supported.

Would you have said the same about Reading deserving a Premiership team if we'd been promoted in 95? We wouldn't have had as many fans as we do now back then. But surely those fans that turn out every week and travel the length of the country DO deserve a Premiership team?
What about Chelsea? They are being bankrolled (a little) and can't fill their stadium. Do they deserve a Premiership team?
Ok, point proven. Chelsea was a bad analogy...
