Royal Rother It is quite obvious that Lita took wise council from some old heads (bald ones, I'll say no more than that) and has worked at his game. Credit should go where credit is due. I thank you.

Coppell isn't that bald :?

Well I did say bald ones (in the plural) and indeed you have successfully named 2 of the (perhaps slightly less influential mentors) for the lad(s). 8)

It took a long time for those of us who went up to Wigan to forget Lita's performance that day.
Since then he has knuckled down (rather than knuckled up in any night club going) and has given everything to the cause.
He must also have gone to the Shane Long school of jumping because he now challenges (with some success) for every ball in the air whereas he just used to stand and watch.
In a few weeks' time we may well revert to the Kitson/Long combination but Leroy has done much to make it difficult for Coppell to drop him.

I imagine it's much more likely we'll revert to the Kitson Lita partnership that started last seasons Championship together.

I think he means Kitson / Doyle. But first of all Lita's got to stop scoring or get injured for that to be a likelihood.

What a fantastic problem to have. It's one of those occasional "pinch yourself" moments - I mean our best player is out injured, a very inexperienced kid is getting better and better and scoring goals, the striker we jave all we missed badly is just returning from 5 months out injured and we have another striker who has suddenly found a fantastic touch in front of goal and has 7 goals in the last 8 games.

I should imagine there isn't a single manager outside the Top 4 who wouldn't jump at the opportunity to swap his best 4 strikers for ours.

Royal Rother Bloody frustrated at home internet connection being chewed through by new cat yesterday when I wanted to vent my spleen last night, but as I can see that almost all my feelings about yesterday have already been covered, so I'll just go to the one subject on my mind that hasn't.

On another day for the club that showed many very positive attributes I'm afraid it is a negative one, but what the hell eh?

Having seen most of Reading's games this season I am now frustrated and bored of watching Lita. I actually think he works very hard, and is very strong for a small bloke, but if you analyse his performances they are identical every game.

He never looks like keeping possession for any more than a split second, he never looks like getting into a position where he can score, he makes some great leaps and wins headers he has no right to, but that's always in the middle of the park, he just is there, on the pitch, running about a lot, and that's all. Long causes far more problems for the defenders when he comes on.

At the start of the season I thought Lita was one who would do well in The Premiership and thought he would end up being the preferred partner for Doyle, and I still felt that last month, but now I've changed my mind, which doesn't happen very often. Premiership defenders ALL put him in their pocket and keep him there. Doyle is finding it hard as well, but always seems to create a chance or two no matter who he is up against.

I can't wait for Kitson to get back. All he needs is his fitness and he'll be in the team.

In the meantime, we have nothing to lose by starting a game with Long as he can't be less effective than Lita.

Am I being unfair?

LOL

The two main recipients of Royal Rother's Royal Wrath have been firstly Coppell and then Lita.

Please turn your sights to some of our other players now please
