tickets usually go on sale around 2 weeks or so before the game so i'm not expecting anything until the back end of next week at the earliest.

given the experience of the last Arsenal away game, and the fact that liverpool sold out in about three days meaning that anyone with less than about 450 points found it very hard to get a ticket, I think its a good chance the club will change the point breaks....

I would have preferred a change in points band. Make the first day for those with >700 points, second day >650 points, so that we don't have too many people clogging up the queue...

Especially as it's half term week two for the public school kids so they can queue on the phone as long as they want.

Any idea if you buy an under 16 ticket and the person can't go any chance upgrading to a £32 ticket?

Used to be possible in the lower leagues, had to queue at ticket office on day of match tho.

why have they changed the points band for the second day onwards for this game?

i'm hacked off as i've got 557 points and was hoping to get my 10 royalty points for my star membership finally sorted out, meaning i'd have 567 which for any other game would have been enuff to get tickets on the second day of sale.

but for this game they've pushed the points needed up from 561 to 571, which means i can't now get one till the 3rd day,of sale, and as man utd sold out in just under 3 days,(and thats 200+ miles away, stopping some from going) the demand for arsenal tickets (being that much closer) is going to be much higher i'd imagine ?

just noticed that for the man u cup game they've lowered the points needed to 556 on the 1st day, and 501 on the 2nd day

i know its only a cup game, but its still man u, and £35 a ticket, and only a quid cheaper than the league game

so why lower them for what is still an attractive game, but raise them for this one ?

i'm pretty sure its been 561 points required for the second day of sale, all this season, so why don't they leave it as it was ?

if i remember this right, the points you need have been 601 for the 1st day, 561 for the second, for a little while, and looking at the site over the last few games, thats why i thought 561 would be needed for this game ?

the 1st day of sale for the middlesboro and arsenal games are 601 points so not "rising after each away game" , its just the second day onwards, that seems to have changed ?

i know your points total rises if you go to every away game (even i' can see that) but for various reasons (well cost mainly) i cant.

How many points do people think you'll need for this - I irritatingly have 450. however I may tap up an Arsenal mate of mine if I cant get them in the away end

As the points go up there will be more people going above a certain band. The 601 is still there as the top band as there are clearly more tickets available that people with those points or more.

It would appear that there are now too many people with 561 points than tickets left should the 601+ take there tickets. As a result, they have moved the limit up 10 pts to ensure those in the higher area of the 561-601 bracket get the chance to get their tickets first.

It is just unfortunate for yourself that you happen to be one of the people who fall in to that 10pt gap.

Anyone know which quadrant we'll be in? :D

By Tube and Rail
Arsenal (Piccadilly Line) is the nearest tube station, around 3 minutes walk from the ground. Finsbury Park (Victoria & Piccadilly Lines and GN rail) and Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line, North London Line and Great Northern Line) stations are around a 10 minute walk - these should be slightly less crowded. King's Cross is the main connecting station for overgound rail and many underground lines. From here you can travel to the ground via the Piccadilly Line (to Arsenal) or the Victoria Line (to Highbury & Islington). Alternatively, a short overground rail journey of one stop will take you to Finsbury Park station. Local pedestrian routes to the stadium will be clearly signposted. The signs will guide you along the most appropriate roads to arrive at your section of the stadium.

We asked for this at a recent meeting with the club and were told that as Man U was the only away game that people with 100 points or less were not able to go to they did not intend changing the bands. This will be the next real test.
