Dennis Uphill RIP.

by watfordroyal » 08 Feb 2007 09:57

I have the very sad duty of reporting the loss of a former royal.

Dennis Uphill died yesterday of a suspected heart attack.

He played for the Biscuitmen in the 1950's, signing from Spurs before moving on to Coventry after several seasons with us.

He was a regular patient and friend of mine, we had many chats about his day and our current success. He will be sadly missed.

I hope you will join me in sending his wife & family, and anyone who knows and remembers him, our best wishes.

Yes, RIP Dennis. I think it would be a nice gesture from the club if they could organise some flowers and a card for his family.

RIP. A very under-rated player, with an excellent record for us. My apologies for not being able to send more than the bare stats. They don't do him justice.
