meeky_no9 Not bad and no change in Points bands which is very good news

I would have preferred a change in points band. Make the first day for those with >700 points, second day >650 points, so that we don't have too many people clogging up the queue...

We asked for this at a recent meeting with the club and were told that as Man U was the only away game that people with 100 points or less were not able to go to they did not intend changing the bands. This will be the next real test.

Thats not true. They sonld out before 420 points for Liverpool in the league. I had to get some seats off a mate in the KOP.

As others have said, that's not true... but even if it were, surely it would be better to stagger the calls a bit more? What's the point in having thousands of people call on the first day, when you can limit the calls coming in by increasing the points bands?

If this is actually a direct quote from the club then it is no wonder the club ticketing is a shambles. Unbelievable!

I'm also suprised nobody from STAR picked up on this at the time...

M4 Junction 11 Anyone know which quadrant we'll be in? :D

By Tube and Rail
Arsenal (Piccadilly Line) is the nearest tube station, around 3 minutes walk from the ground. Finsbury Park (Victoria & Piccadilly Lines and GN rail) and Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line, North London Line and Great Northern Line) stations are around a 10 minute walk - these should be slightly less crowded. King's Cross is the main connecting station for overgound rail and many underground lines. From here you can travel to the ground via the Piccadilly Line (to Arsenal) or the Victoria Line (to Highbury & Islington). Alternatively, a short overground rail journey of one stop will take you to Finsbury Park station. Local pedestrian routes to the stadium will be clearly signposted. The signs will guide you along the most appropriate roads to arrive at your section of the stadium.

It'sthe green part, in the corner.

No it is a quote from my memory which may not be all that reliable, I suspect that those of us from STAR at the meeting could not dispute the statement as I know that 2 have over 600 points and the other seldom goes away so would not have tried to get a ticket. Apologies that we do not find out for each game the roylaty point level that the tickets sell-out

So basically I've got no chance of getting tickets given that I'll have to wait until the Thursday.

Isn't that your job? To have the interests of the RFC fans as the ultimate goal? So therefore suggesting that STAR as clueless as RFC ticket office is entirely valid.

As did Liverpool I didn't get mine until early day 3 and they were already on the restricted view tickets, therefore I expect Arsenal to be the same and Spurs not too far behind.

This means that those with less than about 500 points are certainly going to be struggling.

Why only 3,000

by oxmiller » 12 Feb 2007 16:45

I thought clubs had to allocate 10% of capacity to away fans - surely we could take 6,000

No, it's 10% or 3000, which ever the hosting club decides.

 ex hub and the three kids are away in France - he didn't remember about the Arsenal tickets going on sale before he went. Is there anyway I could find out how many points they have and order them for him?

Get their customer numbers and postcode and log-in to online ticketing on the OS, you can check there. You can then use the customer numbers to buy the tickets at the TO. But if they've got more points than me, don't bother!

How long are they away? Arsenal away tickets go on sale Monday 19 Feb. I only mention this because I was all set to buy my tickets today and then found I need to wait a week.

I don't think that's what he was suggesting.

But even I know Liverpool sold out within a couple of days at a very high points threshold, and I wasn't even in the country.

So, when RFC make such patently untrue statements it could be an idea to challenge them.
