Replay Tickets - ManUre South Stand Request

by oxmiller » 17 Feb 2007 21:15

According to the O/S, Manure have requested the whole South Stand for their c*ckney reds.
Is there a special rule for the FA Cup ?
I thought it was a minimum 10% - anyone care to confirm ?

Replay Tickets - ManUre South Stand Request

by andyblue » 17 Feb 2007 21:19

So despite that we have been to every home game this season (and were unsuccessful when applying for our season tickets) and are not made of plastic my children and I expect not to get tickets so that ManUre supporters most of whom will not come from the Manchester area will be given a preference - it sucks.

It's about this in the match thread on "The Team", we have to offer at least 15% as it's a cup match.

I suppose we have to give them more than half the south stand. You can't segregate the other half so you have to give them the whole thing. Cup rules I suppose.

Surely if you have been to every game this season, you would have enough points for the replay?

Not if the whole of the South Stand is given to Man U - I can't see many STH not going to the game so that's the whole ground taken up.

Bound to be some who don't want the extra expense, can't take the kids to an evening match, have other plans etc. Especially with us having already faced United at the Mad Stad this season. Might get lucky if you try as soon as the season ticket seats are released.

Hang on though ... there's some season ticket holders in the South stand too isn't there?

Does this mean it will be first come first served among season ticket holders and we might have to sit somewhere other than our own seat???

Technically, we should give them 3,630 tickets, (15% of capacity), but due to segregation issues, I imagine we'll give them 4,400, the whole of the South Stand...

I have to say to be able to buy my season ticket seat for the replay less that 24 hours after the original game was played and not have to leave the armchair and sit on the phone for hours on end, has to be a major breakthrough in technology.

Also don't have to worry about tickets getting lost in the post either.

I know the ticket office get some bad press on here, but you have to give the Club enormous credit for giving the supporters this method of buying tickets.

Reading Football Club - A Premiership Club off the pitch as well as on.
