Exactly right JSC.

The club have had over half a season to get the banding right for games, they know how many tickets have sold on each day for every club so they can work out the exact levels and spread their workload efficiently. I can see that, the rest of HNA can see that but when STAR are privvy to the conversation they don't have a clue what the banding is because "I suspect that those of us from STAR at the meeting could not dispute the statement as I know that 2 have over 600 points and the other seldom goes away so would not have tried to get a ticket".

What's the point of a supporters organisation if the organisation itself doesn't have a clue about the supporters.

I don't think that's what he was suggesting.

No you may be right, but I am a little fed up with being told what I should or should not do. OK I know I stood for election but I do have a life as well and if someone else was worried enough about it, it would take very little effort on their part to keep me informed so that I could follow up with knowledge.

As a great example I have now a collection of ASTs keeping details of where they think the best seats would be at away games, very little effort on their behalf for great potential benefits. There are too many people on here who think that saying 'someone should' is sufficient effort but ask them to actually do even a little of that something and they run a mile.

FYI I have not been to many away games this year - not because I don't want to but because my other half has been battling with cancer and the aftermath of a serious operation for the last two and a half years. Now I am not looking for sympathy but a little slack to be cut by those who do nothing to those who actually are trying to make a difference.

If anyone would like to volunteer to keep supply some data on anything at all that would help other supporters we at STAR would be only too happy to have their help. You never know you might even have a little fun as well as helping your fellow supporters.

Sorry rant over but a little less sniping and a little more help would be appreciated.

I offered help at the star shed last season. Colin Bishop replied 'we don't need any help'...... No thanks for the offer - just a brush off. As a consequence STAR lost 3 members this season.

All Colin wanted to do was speak to a mate about how STAR were planning to have pin badges made celebrating every game. AS he put it to his mate ' they would be for the select few'.

Hardly struck us as being a fans organisation....

I am sorry to hear about your husband but I don't think it bares any relevance to the situation at hand. Surely, if your time constraints are limited due to personal matters then you can ask for help on here? Either that or perhaps step aside and let someone else that has the time to step in temporarily. It's just a suggestion.

I would be more than happy to do RFC's ticket forecasting and Royalty point banding for them if they sent me the data so far from this season. I'd not even charge for a one off, though of course I would expect a heavy discount on my ST next season.

My point was that I am still putting time in despite my circumstances while a lot on those on here who criticise do not find the time to do the smallest task. In addition whenever I have asked for anything on here I have been deafened by the silence, and I thought I did just ask and was told that was not what was meant.

As for RFC's forecasting, why offer that to STAR? Surely you should offer it to RFC - and as I have been told I should know all the facts and those given to me by RFC are wrong why are would asking them to send them to you give you anything at all? And as for an ST discount, get behind me in the queue and be prepared for a long long wait.

I am serious in the request for help - I know WCH that you have said before that your offer was declined and I asked if you would offer again. There are many areas of STAR that need a lot more effort, many that Colin does not think of, as he has more than enough on his plate for STAR, as we want to expand what we do and there is still plenty of room for more volunteers.

As I have said on many occasions there are elections every year for anyone who feels that STAR is not run the right way to put themselves forward to change it. So far no-one has volunteered without helping out in other ways first, but the possibility is always there.

Being the pleb I am I forgot to ask where my seat was located, will have to wait for it to arrive now.

Not that it really matters, at least I'll be there regardless to see Reading become the first side to defeat Arsenal the Emirates. ;)

Why has the Arsenal Tickets thread been locked? I thought that this thread was only being used to have a moan at STAR.

When do people reckon they'll sell out?

I can get mine from tomorrow, but am supposed to be getting one for a friend who can't get one til wednesday...is it worth the risk waiting to try and get two together?

Just got back from getting mine. Row 20, seat 610. Had to queue from the edge of the car park/pavement. Easily 50 people queuing but fair play to the TO, the queue went quickly as they didn't have one window that wasn't open. At last, their learning.

I have enough points for today, but can't get to the phone until later.

Would I be right to think that they can't sell out today, even if everyone with enough points buys them?
