After seeing some of the issues regarding Royalty points I thought I would ask how many points people out there actually have

How many royalty points?

2004/05
Season ticket - 150
Away League games - 46
Home Cup games - 25 (2 x 10, 1 x 5)
Away Cup games - 4
Home friendly - 0 (before scheme in place)

2005/06
Season ticket - 140
Away League games - 46
Home Cup games - 50 (all 10s)
Away Cup games - 6
Home friendly - 5
STAR membership - 10
Handing out placards - 10?

2006/07
Season ticket - 195
STAR Membership - 10 points
Feyenoord (Friendly) - 20 points
Darlington (Carling Cup) - 20 points
Liverpool Away (Carling Cup) - 5 points
Burnley (FA Cup) - 10 points
Manchester United Away (FA Cup) - 5 points
14 Away Games (to Middlesbrough) - 70 points

Total - 827

So the current theoretical total before Arsenal Away is 827 Royalty Points

Actually it cannot be that, as Stoke City tickets were pay on the day, so we've never had those points

I am actually interested to see who has the most number of Royalty points out there? Anyone actually got over 820??

I would expect that STAR (if they pulled their finger out) could get data from RFC. However, I'm not sure if publishing this information would contravine the Data Protection Act

I think if Warfield North Stand had pulled his finger out and not delayed and got his ticket earlier he would now not be having this problem.

Surely there would be no controvention (if that's a word) if they said:

800+ points - 10 member cards
775 - 799 points - 3 member cards

etc

Can't be hard to download it from a database (if the club actually have one ).

They couldn't obtain that Data, it's on the T's and C's that all information remains confidential.

We have over 750 points for each of our 4 cards.

There is about 15 odd hardcore supporters that I know, but have higher and lower amounts than myself.

For Arsenal for example, a mate only had 300+ points so I got them on my Dad's card, because he cannot make it.

If the Club told STAR the numbers of people in each bracket, and the maximum number of points someone could have that would not contravine the DPA.

If the told STAR individual names and the number of points they had then that would contravine the DPA.

However I am just interested for my own benefit too, plus if people can get an idea of the numbers of points some people have it might reduce the amount of winging you get from people who lose out on certain match tickets.

Date Protection, it always gets quoted. There is no data protection issue here as the information would be aggregated and individuals could not be identified.

Just for the record, I have 815 points and haven't missed a game for nearly 3 years, but have only had a season ticket for 7

The reason I asked the original question is that people complain they've had an ST for 10, 15, 20 years but cannot get tickets for Arsenal etc because they are in a lower bracket for tickets that another 3000 people

I'm plastic with only around 250 points - admittedly all hard-earned as I've never had a ST.

But looking at that list above, I also got a 5 points starter when I signed up for a member card

There was also a leaflet at the start of the season called "Royalty Points - Your Guide To Reading Football Club Loyalty Scheme 2005" which had a form you could fill in and hand to the ticket office to earn yourself 5 bonus points for giving the TO your up to date contact details - honestly!

I think this would be a really good discussion to have if the club had got the banding so wrong that the tickets sold out in the first band.

As they didn't I can't see the point, this one was always going to sell out quickly, and there was no point in staggering it more as there were so few tickets to sell.

Games like this will be more popular as STHs who pick and chose away games will pick this one (and Liverpool) not Blackburn or Wigan, some people may not like it but I on the whole I think the member points system works well.

I'm expecting the same to happen for Spurs away.

We all know when to call according to what banding you are in.

Why would it reduce the whinging?

Nothing to stop the club looking at their own data and producing a list of points held per fan with the fans names removed. They can then use this themselves to count down from the top of the list until they reach the number of tickets available, then set the lower limit at that points total and give everyone a couple of days to get tickets before dropping it by another 50 or so places (depending on how many callers they can handle).

If people can see how much effort it takes to get to the higher brackets they may not winge that because they've had a season ticket for x years they have any more right to get an Arsenal ticket than anyone else

Anyone who purchased Young Royals to Stoke Away got 2 royalty points. Except me. I purchased 2 tickets, they both appeared on my sons online order history and he got 2 points and I didn't.

BTW Credit for the data at the top of this goes to a previous Nobber who first posted the list. I have maintained it since.

This is where the system is flawed, your mate with 300 gets to go, someone with 550 doesn't.

Not knocking you for doing it, I'm sure you weren't the only one.
