Whore Jackie The http://62.6.180.132/AnitePublicDocs/00012663.pdf link doesn't work on my Mac, but these do:

You have say that the East Stand looks absolutely magnificent. *Shudder*

I don't like the way they've replaced my season ticket seat with a hospitality section.

Prawn sandwiches could be a problem

So assuming building starts in the summer, what seats will need to be tenmporarily relocated? And to where?

"Enabling" works start next summer - modifications to the stadium won't start until summer 08.

You sure?

On the indicative phasing, enabling works start May 2007 with the realignment of Shooters Way.

East Stand construction starts September 2007, Completion August 2008.

All there on p38 of the Planning Statement.

Definitely need to take a leaf out of this book if they want to keep on schedule:

Platypuss's understanding is exactly what I've been told about this.

Well that's what I thought too.
Everything I've read has stated as such, anyway.
By this time next season, we should see much of the terracing up behind the existing East Stand.

So does this mean there wont actually be any new seats at the start of next season?

There will be. The works are hoped to be completed in time for the start of the 08/09 season, but could run into the season by a couple of months at worst. I'm sure I read that on the OS.

EDIT:

"The works should not affect the normal seating positions in the East Stand as the construction would take place behind the existing stand.

"The new seats would be available for use from the start of the 2008/9 season, with the new capacity of the stadium at around 30,000 with an additional 6,000 seats in the East Stand.

So the correct answer to my question would actually be yes, as in there wont be any seats available next season.

I'm so excited I'm already in next season!

PieEater Not happy with these plans, my East Stand seat has disappeared and been replaced by a row of executive boxes

Y22-Y24 rows X to about CC will go.

That would be me as well. Not happy about that. I have a cracking seat about 5 from the half way line, I really don't want to lose it.

There won't be any executive boxes in the new East stand. You might be llooking at the disabled area - but I'd image that you'd just be asked to move back slightly higher - so you could still have a cracking seat about 5 from the half way line, but this time with a slightly better persepective.

Sorry, that doesn't square up with the http://62.6.180.132/AnitePublicDocs/00012768.pdf link that was posted. Which doesn't work now. :?

Very clearly to the right of Y21 and left of Y24 is a Match Day Hospitality Suite, that as PieEater has already stated, looks like it is taking up rows W/X to CC/DD.

Ah - there's a hospitality centre inside the stand, but from what I've seen it doesn't face outwards and so no seats are lost because of it.

Although the detailed plans are still changing on a regular basis.

One of the links does still work. Some of the drawings seem to contradict each other, but there is quite clearly, on all of them, a large new disabled area in the area of probably y21-y23, x to FF.

It would seem that all those in what is arguably the best viewing area in the East stand (give that it is directly opposite the directors box), will have to move to a new seat.

They could do this in one of two ways, they could just shift everyone from that area into the new stand, or they could move everyone back a few rows. Given that most people in that area have been STH since the stadium opened I hope they go for the latter, but I doubt it, after all we are only normal fans.

I see one major problem with that disabled area. It look like it can only be accessed from stairs as the existing access in the East Stand serves the current disabled areas and the new access is a few rows ABOVE the new disabled area.

I don't think the drawings show the details very well - there will be lifts to that level for use by wheelchairs - and it will be elevated slightly so that even if people do stand in the row in front then the disabled sightlines will be maintained.
