Sir,

You are allowed to bring your toy into the stadium for one reason and one reason alone - to encourage the fans' vocal support of the team. Now I'm not a big fan of drums in football but the fact is that many of the chants in the north and west stands (I sit in the west) would not happen without it.

I am at a loss to understand why the drum was silent for 15 minutes after the third Utd goal - did you not feel the team needed our encouragement then more than ever?

Cracking atmosphere after Kitson scored - so well played No. 13!

drummings only worth it if people are joining in, on theodd occasion when th edrummer tried, no one joined in so he stopped,

the only thing worse than having a drummer start all our chants is having a drummer that no-one joins in with

agree that after the fist goal we were awesome, lots of plaudits for us on radio and tv

It was good to hear on the telly that at the final whistle our singing drowned out Man Utds cheer at the end of the game. Number 13, loyal as ever.

I know that every one has their own views about what the drum can and cannot do at a football match. I can encourage fans to sing but they had a choice. I did try and start many chants in the first half, both with and without the drum, the crowd did not initially want to join in.
The chanting of the Man U fans was reasonably loud and persistent, when they reduced their volume I managed to then get the crowd going.

If you review the match you wil find that we had the crowd going just befor the Kitson goal.

As I finished the game with hardly any voice and a bleeding drum hand i think I did all I could.

Can you say the same??

No.13 did create a brilliant atmosphere, and I am proud that we cheered the boys out of the stadium.

I don't like music when we score but feel it was a mistake to not play Tom Hark simply because we were losing was a mistake. The game was still on, the fans has not given up and would have joined in with the celebrations as per ussual, especially after the second.

my only moan about last nights game is u (drummer) still continue with that god awful 'come on reading' chant and 'ohh ahh steve sidwell', please if u could refrain from using said chants i think the world would be better place!

don't get me wrong without the drum half the people who sing/clap wouldn't, so carry on the good work but please please please drop those two chants from your set list

Row Z B18 agree with this motion. Also, can we not go into the BOOM BOOM, BOOM BOOM BOOM, BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM READING immediately after we have scored, a longer period of going mental is preferred!

Ooh Ahh Steve Sidwell and Sidwell and he knows he is are probably 2 of the worst chants ever made up at Reading. Nothing anti-Sidwell in any of the comments, they are just both shit.

For starters, it doesn't actually fit Steve's name. You can't go "Ooh aah Steeeeeeve Sidwell".

I understand what u are all saying about the "come on Reading" chant, but we do seem to have very few, constant chants,

I am told that "blue army" can be over used so we are looking for other inspiration.
i love "come on you royals" but it doesn't last for very long, and you cannot get momentum behind it.
