Its not about ego, and i agree with alot of the comments made.
I deliberately did not play at the pre season Friendly against Fyenoord to see what kind of atmosphere would be generated. I would not like to make that decision for a match that we had to win.
I have spoken previously to Coppel, Dillon, Murty and most of the team about the drumming, and they say that they do not like a quiet stadium as the players do get nervous. They appreciate the drums as this keeps the body of the crowd making noise.
i have even been moaned at by Wally as because the drums were deemed to be to quiet.
Finally, if the drums are so bad why have so many clubs adopted them this season? The idea is to lead the crowd, so that we all sing together making the best noise possible.
