It was rubbish yesterday until we scored. It was summed up by 2 kids wearing Arsenal shirts in the Reading section. What kind of parent allows that? Shame on them, if they were my kids they would have no choice Royals shirt or you don't come.

Looking at you lot, which has happened once or twice this year, you can see these things.

It's like a big extended family on a day out sometimes.

There is too many phucking kids kicking plastic bottles around and not even knowing what's going on, and there's lots of vocal and passionate fans that cannot get a look in.

Ban under 10's from away days.

Perhaps they were telling you to sit down cos when you stood up they couldn't see. And if you can't see, its difficult to get behind your team.

It was a brand new stadium with perfect views. There was no need to stand up. People who stand without considering those sat behind them are thoughtless idiots and a right pain in the rear end.

Biggest bunch of non away game going fans I have seen since Arsenal last season. You really have to wonder how these people get tickets when thousands of people with just under 600 points missed out, I mean there were three people sat next to me in their early 40's that didn't do anything all game. Nothing, just sat there. I just can't understand that at away games, as it was we did make a good noise in parts though I lost the plot with a oxf*rd behind me that started singing "10 German bombers in the air"

It was always going to be the case but given our end of season run-in with the away games, I don't anticipate Spurs & Charlton will be as bad with it being on Sky and I can't see decent away followings at Bolton and Blackburn unless UEFA Cup football is dependant on the result or we see reduced ticket prices.

Ironic that the worst away game last season was Arsenal and again this season it was Arsenal.

To be honest though the ground wasn't very loud as a whole anyway and most of the so called 'singers' were all really spaced out in the away section.

The ground itself doesn't help with huge gaps around the roof so the sounds just isn't as vocal as for example the mad stad. I don't think we were that bad yesterday vocally but we were pretty piss poor on the pitch till the 80th minute when we actually realised we could play football.

Great save by Lehmann from Sidwell, was certain it was in!. Nice ground but atmosphere was rubbish along with our performance i thought. A lot of sloppy passes, didn't get the ball into the box quick enough in wide positions.

I stand up at moments of excitement during the match but the people in front were exhibitionists who were standing up to offer pointless gestures to the Arsenal fans. I don't stand up then. Thanks.

Thats an interesting point !!! Is that why we couldn't get tickets on the 3rd release day when our points were valid ?? In fact, it is decent to see families going to support Reading, but do the real youngsters know whats happening ?

I just hope that, for the Spurs and Charlton games, those that made their one-off away game will now be satisfied with watching it on the telly. As for Blackburn and Bolton, at least there will be fewer ubder 10s there to ensure a seat!

I'd disagree. OK, you didn't need to stand up, but even from Row 21, you were still very low down. I can't see why they couldn't have made the lower tier steeper as is was as shallow as terracing and the view was worse than it ought to have been.

A bit like the very ropey and cramped concourses - lovely stadium but all the money went on providing good facilities for those paying the high prices, and sod the oiks in the lower tier.

Disagree with what? The sight lines were excellent while everyone sat down but the low rake meant that a few people standing blocked the view for many others.

I wonder is the seats were actually designed to dissuade you from briefly standing as the seat was so large it wouldn't flip up until your bum was right out your seat.

For this match after the initial allocation to the away season ticket holders there was only ever going to be 1400+ left for the high points brigade.
This means that those few select people will gain more and more points and noone else has a hope in hells chance a catching them up. I've already given up hope of getting a ticket for the Spurs match as even with 600+ points the earliest I can apply for a ticket is Thursday.

Corporate bodies will snap up numerous tickets for entertaining clients. What did anyone really expect at the Emirates when you take all these factors in to account?

If you had over 600 points then you coulsd of got a ticket for Arsenal because they didn't sell out after the first day.
