Smoking Kills Dancing Doe They are obviously at least looking at the idea of playing Halford centre mid in the long run, will be interesting to see how he does there tonight.
You would imagine that if all goes to plan, they'd want to look at him playing with Harps in the 1st team before the end of season.

I must admit I'm shocked at this as I didn't think they'd try to recreate him as a central midfielder. However he's played more games there for the reserves than at full back so maybe they're looking at it afterall.
The only other reason I can think of is that they just want him to be involved and keep match fit and we've got more defenders than central midfielders. They think they can rely on him playing right back if needs be without having played there for the reserves so he gets to fill in in the middle.

"recreate him as a midfielder"?
I seem to recall he's spent more time at midfield behind the strikers than he has at Right Back.

Right back/ Right midfield and centre forward in his younger days. Not aware that he's played much(if at all) as a centre midfielder but if someone knows better then i stand to be correccted.
FWIW i think he's got all the attributes to be a central midfielder. He's tall, athletic, strong running and has pretty potent long range shooting ability so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that he could be very good there. The reserves is as good a place as any to find out at this stage.
