willz_royaldoylefan so far this season my home shirt has gone back about 4 times!! The collor split, the sleve split away from the shirt, after one wash it came up all bobbly and the last time the dye ran something terrible. At least the 5th shirt has been ok since i got it ( wood achieved)
for the shirt or for the spelling of collor and sleve???!

StrandedSpaceCruiser If they got rid of the back panel and brought back the proper hoops, I might consider buying it. But I doubt they're in rush to do that.
They can't. I noticed as well now that Newcastle have the panel on the back in European games at least.

Why not? And don't give me that rule crap, it doesn't exist - somebody looked for that rule on the FA website ages ago and didn't find it. I reckon it's just a fad, even the teams in league two have it.

I Actually, the rules are on the PL website, as a pdf in the "Publications" section. You have to register first.
Section F (p 57) deals with player identification and strips, and I can't see a rule specifically banning hoops and stripes. Rule F7 simply says "each Player shall wear a shirt on the back of which shall be prominently displayed his shirt number and above that his surname..."
Of course, it also says that vaious regulations will be laid down from time to time by the Board, so it may be a regulation not laid down in the official rules.
