Huntley & Palmer
Royals Drummer Its not about ego, and i agree with alot of the comments made.

Royals Drummer I would not like to make that decision for a match that we had to win.

Royals Drummer I have spoken previously to Coppel, Dillon, Murty and most of the team about the drumming

Royals Drummer The idea is to lead the crowd, so that we all sing together making the best noise possible.

Quite a lot of "I" and ego in that matey

yes in totally irrelevent sentences where he mentions things that he's done. Is that supposed to some sort of rebuttal?

If we lose the drums it would be a step backwards. It has taken years to get the atmosphere to where it is now and to have comments from the media on several occasions this season saying what a cracking atmosphere there is at the Madejski is not a coincidence.

The playing staff and management at the club like the drummer and I think we all agree with their judgment with regard to the team etc (most of the time) so why feel so strongly about this.

Matches at the Madejski have been really memorable recently, partly due to what has been happening on the pitch, but also down to the atmosphere over the last few season. Even better than those cup nights a Elm Park IMO.

Surely if it aint broke don't try and fix it.

We need more drums and MEGAPHONES dammit!

Every where we go oooo....

Oh when the blues.....

Then after we've exhausted our age old repertoire, we will move on to more complicated and exotic songs, you know, lots of oooooing and aaaaaaing, in a choral fashion, and bobbing up and down.

On the 10th of March I will go to my first Daegu FC match, where, in a 65,000 seater stadium, they rarely attract more than 500 supporters. I'm going to learn Korean and buy a megaphone and... and... you'll see, we'll be famous for our revelry.

Thought I would just bring this back up to the top of the board! With the first home game since this thread started nearly upon us , I thought I would make one more plea that the shitty 'come on reading' and 'ohh ahh steve sidwell' chants do not get used at tomorrows game!

Thankyou

The drummer has nothing to do with the inrease in crowds, I suggest it may have little more to do with the division we are playing in?

I'm pretty sure that was tongue in cheek. However, if he really was denied entry then it is surely yet another example of poor stewarding. I've met supporters from loads of clubs who have met this guy, and know some Pompey fans who know him quite well. All, without exception say he's a top bloke and not a threat to national security!

Didn't miss his bell though!

I saw him beside one of the away coaches after the game. He didn't look very happy and there was no bell to be seen.
