My missus is on this weekend I do believe. Expect heavy mood swings and to have the Arctic Monkeys played all weekend.

Hello!

Steve Sidwell and Adam Federici tonight. Apologies for late notice - also I'm out at the speedway so I can't collect questions in, so call 0845 900 1041 or text 07786 202 303 to get your question for Sidders or The Fed in.

Cheers all,

Ollie

I might phone and ask Steve Sidwell whether he's dyed his hair red for comic relief.

steve, with the recent shambolic treatment of manchester united fans in france and police brutality inflicted on rangers supporters in spain this week, do you think it would be good for reading fans if we qualified for the uefa cup

I might ring up and ask Steve if he's being paid to do the phone-in, after all, he has a wife and baby to feed you know.

Harsh

Sidds owes us nothing...and vica versa

Good luck to the fellah in his quest for getting paid the same as other (more) undeserving players get paid (well over the odds, and silly money in this premier league).

He is not the "be all" nor "end all" of our set-up...and yet he has always been part of its prolific recent rise.

Lay off the fellah.....move on, like most players will eventually do

I think Sidwell is a fantastic player and I don't want him to leave. However, as has been documented on here before, saying he had to look at other options as he has a wife and kid to support was naive of him at best. What he earns in a week is what many supporters (who effectively pay his wages) earn in a year, many less than that. If, as has been mooted, it was a comment from his agent and not him, Sid should have done the decent thing and distanced himself from this comment and explained that he was sorry for this comment having caused any upset to hard working and much less well-off supporters. IMHO.

Yes, but I have it on good authority that whilst Sids is the only one in the dressing room publicly saying this, there are quite a few others thinking it and saying it to each other.

Mods, better lock this before it turns into yet another Sids thread.....

The problem starts when the club gives in to those players and pay them the top end of Premiership wages, they don't/won't perform as good. Just look at West Ham and the new bumper contracts they handed out last year, Etherington, Konchesky, Zamora, Harewood.

To be fair if others are thinking it and saying it to themselves, we're not going to hear about it - except when the likes of you pass it on, so it's not going to get anyone hot under the collar.
