A friend who's uncle knows someone working at the stadium said the first goal was scored by Paddy Murphy (painter) during a lunch break a couple weeks ago. The assist was credited to one of the plumbers.

Lita hadn't touched the ball before Italy had the honour of scoring the first goal at new Wembley and Doyle started on the bench. You jinxed it - twice over  .
