Standing at spurs

i cant believe the usual suspects havent already had a go at you for suggesting people stand at a football match. i'm a firm believer in standing as it helps create an atmosphere which in turn helps the players on the pitch perform. I do understand that some people cant stand for the whole game or even dont want to, which is fine.

I think the main problem with this is the fact that its all reserved seating. I think that if we haven't sold out our away allocation then people should be informed that the seating is unreserved for the game. that way the people who want to stand and sing for 90 minutes can merge together into a group and create a better atmosphere.

all the people that want to sit and not join in can go to the front of the stand where people wont get in there way. the thing these people need to realise is that they are in the minority in wanting to just go and watch the football and not sing, i feel they should be a bit more tollerant of those that do in this case.

Henleyensian I imagine it was because of the weather that the people in front stood at West Ham, and therefore the people behind had no alternative to standing if they wanted to watch the game.

I think you're partially right.

But West Ham was also a proper lads day out. A far higher proportion of lads than there were at, say, Arsenal I suspect.

I much prefer it when we stand and it does make a much better atmosphere. I dont belive that its worse for young kids cos wen i was young and everyone stood i enjoyed more and i just stood on the seats.

I'm not standing in the top tier, it's too steep. I think those in the Lower Tier will struggle to do anything other than stand up due to the view and lack of legroom

Whistle for kick off will go and we'll all sit down at WHL, I bet you. I like standing but what are you going to do if the person behind doesn't want to and there are no other seats? They've paid good money to see the game and if they don't want to/can't stand then that's their right (as much as they fook me off).

I'll stand until I feel a hand on my shoulder cause I'm not going to miss the game getting chucked out. As long as we dick on the Spurs I will be as happy as that happy man called Larry.

I stood at Newcastle and I didn't die.

I had OB sat in the seat next to me providing the segregation between us and the Geordies in the front balcony so it was rather hard for me to do it. Managed it second half as I moved to the last row in that area with no-one behind me. I'll stand if everyone behind me does, otherwise it will be the usual odd moment when there is something going on
