Ivar the appreciated.

by higher » 07 Apr 2007 20:27

He`s definately right up there with the best and as things stand he has my vote for player of the year with Shorey a close second.
The guy has been immense for us during our rise to these heady heights and has been assured in such a key role through all the changes to personnel around him.
Given the last ditch circumstances he has to deal with its remarkable how few times he gets injured or booked.
I was impressed a few years back watching him as an attacking midfielder at Bradford city of somewhere like that and he was a star causing all sorts of merry mayhem on the attacking front.
Just glad hes on our side.

Totally agree with this thread. Personally at the beginning of the season I was worried whether he would and could make the step up. But he has done nothing but impress throughout the whole season.

Would be my player of the season, if we didn't have one of England's best left backs or one of England's best right wingers  8) 8)

after his performance today, i could'nt agree more

couple of fantastic last ditch tackles, stopping goalscoring chances for liverpool and won more than he had the right to in the air against crouch.

he is our unsung hero in the team, so its about time he gets some overdue praise.

He's been referred to as Ivar the Engine Driver before and also in the national press but it's never caught on.
Name the song -
My name is Ivar, I'm an engine driver. I know him well, I know why you feel blue. Just 'cause he's late, Don't mean he'll never get through.
