addsrfc pards get any stick from our fans tonight ?

Nothing intense, and Pardew was very complimentary of us. No animosity here - joke is on him look where we are now, we won!

Seperately, just watched MOTD and just wanted to throw more praise towards the Ivarman. Fantastic tackle by the Iceman on Zheung to stop a near certain goal.

Just got back at twenty past midnight about £150 lighter. What a waste of time and money to watch a team who really didn't care about winning.

I wouldn't blame the other sides in the relegation zone for seething about the starting line up and the use of zero subs despite having Kitson and Doyle on the bench and with Long making it akin to playing with ten men. What does anyone see in Long because to me he is simply not up to this level and never ever will be.

If the club's calling it a season having stayed up, please let us know so we don't waste further time and money at the remaining games.

a little harsh

But empathise with the team selection issues (Gunnarsson dropped?)

Is SC merely running down the season having a good look at his squad for next season?

or are we just trying something new?

Completely agree except for the Long bit - bit harsh as he has a few nice touches, pace and an eye for goal that needs to be developed on loan.

Steve Coppell, a voice that Descartes would normally seek reason from, had an absolute stinker when he said with 8 games left he didn't want Europe. As I've said in another thread that translates to "I don't want to win anymore games".

Didn't Sids used to be able to score from outside the box in previous seasons? This year it looks like Stevie Hunt's been giving him shooting lessons!

Waste of time and money, poor team selection by SC and there was a total lack of ambition.

I've spent my day on Britain's railways watching my teams today! Sadly with little return! one of them is heading out of the football league albeit kicking and screaming, and the other didn't want to be there. (totally agree Schards)

Reading didn't want that game tonight, the selction showed that and sadly watching Reading is absolutely tedious as fcuk at the minute. We don't look like scoring, it will take a strike like Bryn's or an own goal for us to score. Rubbish.

Truth is the club has stated it, 'we don't want Europe' now there are many arguments for and against it but as FANS of the club that's hard to hear cos when you get the performances of recent times it does make you think ' they can't be arsed anymore'

My personal view is the same about the Cup runs, it's a very arrogant way of looking at things. It's taken this club 134 years to even contemplate a chance of winning a cup or getting European football, to dismiss it as 'unwanted or unachievable' isn't right for me. By sending out weakened sides you certainly give yourself no chance, Reading - we may NEVER get this opportunity again. Look at Swindon and where BRadford are heading.

I to felt we dominated long spells of the 2nd half but we still didn't force a save of note from the keeper, a Reading side of 3 or 4 months ago would have won that game at a canter.

I knew there would be some Seol bashing, i don't understand that. one of our most effective players for me, forced the only save of note with some individual brilliance. I also knew Hunt would be loved, I thought he was better today, some excellent jinking runs and i agree 110% he works his balls off (the only one who REALLY did) tinight BUT where is the end product???????? The one really good chance falls to Hunt, no surprise, not even on target.

Long was little boy lost again for the most part, one of the others should have been given 20mins or so to try and win it, otherwise we were steady if not spectacular. Also agree on Gunnarsson and to an extent Oster should have played at least some point. Where was Halford????

Thoroughly let down, for those of you who went solely for the football today, I sympathise. For those of you that went and got battered around London or like me made a day of it elsewhere, least we had some fun, well until about 19:59 anyway.

To be fair even if we went for it, I don't think European qualification would happen anyway. Two from Bolton, Everton and Spurs have those places reserved.

What is worth remembering is the massive financial difference between finishing 12th, and say 11th or 10th.

 at no substitutions and Long getting 90 minutes when Kits and Doyle, both short of form/game time stay on the bench. That I just cannot work out.

unbelievable comments, on another night we could have won and with a bit of luck we could have won 3-0 then everyone would be saying what a great performance it was, we dominated the game from start to finish and only desperate defending and some wayward finishing stop us getting a deserved 3 points, Swndon is only a short drive up the M4 why dont you lot go and support them?

Fantastic game, right result. (Bearing in mind their chances on target)

SSC will be happy helping his mate AP out and it dooms Warnock even further.

IMHO we deserved 4 pts from the weekend not 1

We are still 9th and could easily still finish 7th I'd be happy with either.
