Linking this to the other thread on Poll's jolly up with Parjudas, I think that the two incidents kind of even themselves out. Yes Leroy hardly touch El- Kack-or-izzy but the point is he intended to headbutt him. If it had been the other way round we would all be screaming for the FA to throw the book at him.

I can honestly say I wouldn't have been and would have been embarrassed that a Reading player would make such a meal of the slightest of touches.

I can't stand Lita, but at the end of the day its' football and things liek that happen. If the FA ban him and we fine him, then it lets just put this to bed.

I'd much rather he be in trouble in this way, than getting arrested in Bristol pissed up after an away game.

Coppell's Right Footed 11
biscuitsrus I must admit to having my "Arsene Wenger" glasses on and didn't see the incident at the ground. All I say was El K (not Lorraine Kelly) rolling around like he was having a some sort of fit.

Fit over he went off the pitch and sure enough he came back on as if nothing had happened, which is exactly the case.

Got home just a RFC were on MOTD (unexpected) and got to see what happened. Leroy was class again last night, at the moment IMHO he is number one striker.

LEROY=CLASS STRIKER (on current form).

Like to see your opinion on a striker out of form then seeing as Leroy hasn't scored in 7 games

Leroy IS class and is proving what a good player he is, the service he is getting at mo is awful.

National papers have already found him guilty and handed out a 3 match ban.
Good job we're not trying for Europe as we will probably only be able to rotate 3 strikers now.

Which?
The papers or not trying for Europe?
The papers-look for yourself.
Not trying for Europe-Coppell.

I'm not sure I've seen even one paper that even mentions the Leroy incident. I have read a few as well.

Burden of proof lies with you, I'm not going out buying random papers until I find one specific story.

From the official site:

Leroy Lita has been charged with violent conduct.

In a statement, the FA said, 'The charge relates to an incident involving Charlton Athletic defender Talal El Karkouri during the match at The Valley on 9th April.

'The FA sought clarification from match referee Graham Poll, who has confirmed that he did not see the incident but, having reviewed video footage, expressed his view that the incident warranted a red card.

'Lita has until 6pm on 12th April to admit or deny the charge. A Disciplinary Commission will hear the case on 13th April.'

Poll is a w@nker ....Does that also mean the FA will look at Song and also at El Kakhouri's challenges throughout the game and charge them as well...

It's not like Lita actually headbutted the guy...he may have moved his head towards the chest of the opponent...but the way he went down was as though there was a sniper on the roof of the stand...Plead not guilty Lita and claim your were provoked by something that was said...

Did anything ever happen about the Sheff Utd incident..was Downes ever found guilty or have the FA forgotten about that....

the new fast track diciplinery treatment will mean that Leroy will recieve his ban before the end of the week, Fulham will probably be the first of a 3 match ban for him, he should have know that however slyly you do it there are so many cameras at games now he will always get caught

It has nothing to do with Poll, they've done him on post video evidence.

Leroy might aswell go on summer holidays with him no use for the next 3 weeks

they cant charge Song and El Kakhouri because Poll dealt with those incidents, he didnt see the Lita one, maybe they should have a look at Pardew for talking to the ref to influence decisions

Er, yes, Poll has something to do with it, did you not read the quote properly? He was the one reviewing the video evidence.

Ok my mistake but did people really expect him to brush it under the carpet when the evidence is clearly there to charge him? The Poll/Song scenario is a seperate issue to the headbutt.
