Absolute disgrace.

How can Diouf get away with almost breaking Phil Neville's leg with a disgusting challenge and Lita gets fcuked over a nothing incident.

Still, Coppell will no doubt be quietly pleased, another excuse as to why we won't make a bid for Europe.

Because it's only Phil Neville.

Stranded
RoyalBlue Typical barsteward Poll. Lets Song get away with murder, denies us a clear cut penalty, makes half-time arrangements to benefit Parjudas and then decides that Leroy deserves a red card for what the Sky tv pundits described as a nothing incident.

Given the idiot can't even count to two and sees so little in a game, his view of the post match video should count for bugger all.

Failing that, he should be asked to review the video for the rest of the game and explain his other bizarre decisions.

Whilst Poll made mistakes, I'm sorry, but if any ref had seen Lita do that he would have been off - no question.

Leroy screwed up, he'll get a ban - that's life.

Those refs might also have made a mistake in sending him off, as the Sky footage I saw was inconclusive over whether any contact was made. I would also suggest that, had contact been made, the Charlton cheat would have really needed treatment for his injury.

As for screwing up and getting a ban - Poll also screwed up big time in this game and should get a ban. However, unless the PGMOL show more balls than the FA, he probably won't because life for him is different.

You have to wonder how big a part Sky Sports News plays in all this, any sort of incident and they replay it endlessly for hours untill the FA take note.

I'm not sure that burden of proof is necessary on a message board.
Was the official site announcement good enough?
Why not just try believing that what some of us write is what is actually happening?
What next?
Proof of I.D. and Money Laundering clearance before anybody posts anything?

The Burden of proof applies to anyone making a statement about anything.

There was no official announcement this morning when the request for a source was made.

It's not that I don't believe you it's that I want to read the oxf*rd article and don't have time to trawl through 6 + newspapers trying to find a story.

It's not difficult to say "I saw it in the [insert paper name here]"

At the end of the day if it was the other way round and somebody did it to us we would be calling for their head......Lita will get a ban and rightly so. If he thinks its unfair then he shouldn't have even gone near him with his head.

Simple really.

Agree completely. Lita is class but a silly boy with it sometimes. He will be banned and will deserve it, SC should dock his wages too. Cant blame the other player as they are trained to fold when touched by another player.

And yes Poll is a twat, everyone knows it. Even the FA knows it but they wont do anything about it as they have no balls

Just seen the footage - yes a meal was made of it - but intent was there - contact was made even if it was light - he will get punished and will get at least a 3 game ban.

Coppell will not be impressed. Lita wont start again this season now.

Then they also ought to keep re-running Pardew's statement re his arrangement with Poll and the clear cut penalty, which the cheat (and in my view the 'arrangement' makes him that) Poll denied us.

Why the laughter? If he gets a three match ban, it's very possible.

don't see why he did it really because he was bound to get done for it with the video footage and thats what is happening. Leroy is an excellent striker but needs to control himself sometimes and needs to grow up a bit.

is the footage on youtube?
Leroy got in his face but he didnt headbutt the guy.
El karkouri was clearly trying it on.
wasnt hurt, went down like a sack of spuds and got up when he saw that he wasnt getting anything.
maybe Leroy should have been booked for being overly aggresive but as I saw it he was not guilty of violent conduct.

IF he did motion to headbutt El Karkouri (and I think he did) then that is sufficient to constitute violent conduct. The demonstration of intent is enough. It was a stupid thing to do and I am sure that he knows it. Even in the law of the land it is possible to commit an assault without actually touching someone (I am sure one of the many lawyers who frequent this site will have a view).

If he made no contact then I am sure the disciplinary committee will take that into account when setting the punishment, but I have little doubt that he will be found guilty and will be punished.

Does that make him a stupid boy or a disturbed criminal - for me it is the former.

Considering that he must have known that he was surrounded by about 20 cameras, a very stupid boy!

From what I saw Lita's gesture was minor to say the least, I would suggest there was little if any violent 'intent' - certainly far less than shown by Song.

However Lita shouldn't have put himself in the situation, there is no defence for an off the ball incident and whilst you can say that there have been many far worse instances of violence this season (hello Upson, Riggott....) Lita should have known better.

Although I think it's a bit ridiculous to get hauled up for "intent", if someone had done that to one of our players I'd think he should get a ban.
Stupid of Leroy.

If I was LEroy I'd request a personal hearing and in the knowledge that you're already getting a 3 match ban use the time to find out when refs and managers started colluding in trying to avoid players being sent off.
