Dawn Just had a text from the club which says:

"Coppell confirms that we'll contest the "ridiculous" charge against Lita"

On a point of principle that's the right thing to do but it will probably prove to be disastrous for us, given the FA pratts that adjudicate in such hearings.

And being a Scouser, Sir Steve is well qualified to judge whether there was a real head butt or not!

You've got Liverpool confused with Glasgow.

Now if Leroy had sliced someone up with a blade..

I'm sure that when I used to watch Brookside 'Tinhead' was reknowned for his head butts!

Not a bad footballer either!!

El Karkouri must be an illegal as he certainly isn't qualified as a professional footballer - they should send him back. He went down like a sack of spuds, which is about his market value.

As for Poll, I think he got it wrong - Song was never going to be anywhere near being close to being sent off with that moron refereeing the game - he'd have just given him another two yellows.

andyhalls Pretty much spot on, except trade the word 'intent' for 'attempt' and you've hit the nail on the head.

Attempt to strike an opponent goes down as violent conduct in the laws of the game, and Leroy should be ready to face his three match ban because of this. Contact is totally and utterly irrelevant.

That backs up my view - as from what I saw Leroy didn't 'attempt' to butt anyone.

He 'faked' a nod in the direction of the bloke and the bloke bought it.

lozz2601 Did anyone hear him on Talksport?
If so, what did he say?

He came across very down to earth. Spoke of how well Reading play as a team, how good SC is as a manager and how much he loved Wright. Said he hoped that as Nugent got a call up for England his time will come.

Ah well, at least there'll be news on Reading in 10 years time, which is more than can be said for Chelsea once Abramovich goes and leaves them in financial meltdown with them having to sell Stamford Bridge to Ken Bates and Fulham and form a new club called AFC Chelsea with Frank Lampard cutting a deal with Mars Bars for 50p a season shirt sponsorship.

What has Harold done that demonstrates any intelligence ?

If I walked into a pub in Posrtsmouth wearing a Saints shirt I would gte a reaction, but it wouldn't mean I was very intelligent.

Do you think people get angry or just laugh ?

The fishing is so poor I really don;t think anyone gets 'angry' about it....

Forgive me Harold, but can I ask what your fascination is with Reading FC and HNA? Do you live locally, with or amongst Reading fans? I'm guessing you support Chelsea.

Apologies if this has already been asked.
