Yep Nicky Ingi or Ivar Shorey (new players) personally I'm finding difficult to choose.

Am probably going for Nicky, personally I don't think it was his problem being caught upfield/out of position I think he is expected to provide an attacking outlet as well as his defensive duties and I think he can be expected to do too much.

Very close between Ivar and Nicky - but I'm voting for Shorey. It was his run and shot against Boro on the opening day that started our season, 25 minutes of poor football preceded it, but when he picked the ball up deep and took on a couple of players it filled the whole team (and fans) with belief, and perhaps the knowledge that we belonged.

Why can't we also have a vote on here and have a Nobber's Most Valuable Player of the Year Award. I'm sure that the more creative amoungst us can design a suitable trophy we can present it to Ingi at a future fans forum.

I voted Ivar as well. a lot of people didn't think he would make the step up to Prem level but he has excelled and doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

This is the chance for football fans to give him that recognition

my vote went to Harper.

he's been quality this year, especially considering the players he's come up against.

we talk about the reading style and all the positive play around the pitch, but Harper is the one who covers the defence and makes the short passes which gets things going and allows the forwards and wingers to play.

i'm sure if you asked coppell which player was 'most important' to how we play he'd pick Harps.

M4 Junction 11 If the vote was on here it looks like Ingi-marsson would win it by a mile. So looks like Doyle or Seol will win it then

Dickhead.

It will be either Shorey or Ivar.

Everyone knows that.

The white Pele all day for me, his recent absence shows just how marvellous he's been when in the team.

Ivar is average no way is he player of the season! yeah fair enough he done ok, but the outstanding player this year is clearly Shorey ! how can you argue against that? The bloke hasn't put a footy wrong this year and has played nearly every match! Second to that is Murty and surely these last past games without him has shown you that, he offers so much to the team going forword and defending! NO WAY on earth should this award be given to the average centre back whos only achivement is not getting injuryed ! so just get real !

Ivar has played more games than Shorey and has been one of the best centre backs this club has ever had

As I don't seem able to vote for Wally Downes, it'll have to be Ingarmarrson for me too.

Although Ivar has only played 1 more league game than Nicky, and Nicky is unquestionably THE best left back we have had !

I've still voted Ivar though...
