I didn't think it was all singularly funded by himself and that he borrowed money against the Browns?

Maybe it was from his Dad? I can't remember.

Anyway, you're right, the recent swarm of wannabe investors just want to syphon the TV money.

I know, it was just the though of someone asking their dad for £61 million that made me chuckle

rob the royal i'm indifferent. if we make it then i'll embrace it, as a lot of people have pointed out, we may not get the chance again.

if we don't make it i won't lose any sleep over it, cos it maybe something we could do without, but i do wonder if maybe making europe this season might actually be good for the team?

we had a pretty unsurpasable promotion season, then if we finish just outside europe this year, what will the players feel they have to do to have had success next year? get to europe? so if we don't make it it'll feel like a failure. if we make it this year then the challenge would be to do well in europe an if we don't finish as high in the league there is a good excuse...just a thought

A very good post. The players I think feel they deserve Europe after the performances we have put in this year and to an extent they are right. If we don't get in I think it'll be Ok for them - but they will feel really chuffed if we do. I know that if we do get in people like Hunty, Shorey and Ingimarsson will be absolutely delighted along with the rest of the squad.

Whether it is good for us next year is a completely different matter altogether and Coppell will be concentrating solely on the league anyway as we all know.

So for me and the players I want to get in. I don't know if it will really help us next year that's all.

I still think that if we finish 8th or 9th and even 10th it will be a great achievment - but how much more would it be to finish above Spurs and Portsmouth?

Surely we will finish at least 9th since we are 6 points ahead of 10th?

If we win our home games we must have a great chance of finishing at least 7th.
Will definitely leave us with plenty to play for at Blackburn, not least to avoid them doing the double over us.
