There should be some good options overnight on more streams for the game tomorrow. :D

ElmParker Anyone help fix a problem with SopCast?

Used it fine for about six months. Then did a full Windows reinstall.

Now, when I click a channel, I get the message:

"ClassFactory cannot supply requested file."

Any ideas? Someone told me it was a codec issue, but didn't specify where and how I get said codec. (I don't even known what one is.)
Any help gratefully received.

Sounds more like your fire wall is blocking sopcast. Also makesure you are using the latest version of windows media player http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx?displang=en&qstechnology=

Thanks for that.

I’ve checked and It seems I’m already running the latest WMP, and I haven’t got the firewall switched on.

In fact, the only thing I know for sure I’m doing differently from pre-reinstall is that I’m not running service pack II, which always crashes the video driver.

Any other suggestions?

Sorry to say looks like you might have to upgade tp sp2

I believe there is a problem with SopCast and Windows Media Player 11.

It works with WMP 10.

An alternative is to download and install the K-Lite codec pack - the full pack!!

This will alow you to install Windows Media Player Classic and all the necessary codecs for Quicktime, RealPlayer, 3gp and more. Read the instructions carefully because I've had some problems when Quicktime was already installed.

There appears to be nothing yet. Something might turn up a bit later, but I am not over confident...

EDIT - Looks like it is being shown "as live" at 5pm, on Sport Channel 2 (Sopcast) and UBC40 (TV Ants)

According to FSI (http://www.fsicrew.info/forums/showthread.php?t=69), it is on but it's delayed and starts at 5pm (Sopcast or TV Ants, Channel True 63).

Now also linked on http://www.myp2p.eu/Matches/Match3.htm, it seems...

I'll shut up

Murtys Right Foot I believe there is a problem with SopCast and Windows Media Player 11. It works with WMP 10.

A big, public thank you to all those who offered help and advice, but particularly to Murtys Right Foot who solved it.

I installed WMP10 and SopCast is back up and running.

Thanks guys.

It's not showing up on ART Sport as live; which is the feed these pubs usually use - currently delayed replay at 17:00 on ART 6.

...although ART are known for changing their minds at the last minute...

spikeyroyal Ok chaps heres a quick guide to getting prem footy on ya pc without paying all the sites about a membership fee its dead simple even ya gran could use it anyway any questions then please pm me.

1.go here http://www.asiaplate.com/live.today.htm

2. then 1/4 way down page download sopcast 0.9.9

3. install program then login in (u dont have to register)

4. go back to the page mentioned in step one and scroll down to the game u want to watch. on the right of that line will be a channel name remember that

5. find the channel name on sopcast program u have just opened, double click and depending on your broadband speed will depend on how long it takes to start

6. Hey presto free footy. This is totally legal by the way.

If it doesnt start then try another channel on the list or try and restart the channel u opened.

So wednesday anyone not going to Villa should be able to find a channel that is streaming the game live. A right result.

Enjoy

I LOVE YOU! IT WORKS!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxx  :D
